I agree,Rocka-a very good player.
It was nice to see him lose though as Forest beat Everton 3-1 at Goodison Park on the opening day
of the 77/78 season-as we stormed towards the league title.
I was watching an old episode of Coronation Street (1977). Eddie Yates was bragging how good of a player Duncan McKenzie is at Everton.

Made me smile it did.

Yes it was... He was one of my favourite ever Forest players.
In that 77/78 season I was sharing a house with a bloke who was a mad Evertonian and I went with him to watch Everton play at Leicester and Everton destroyed Leicester 5-1 with Latchford scoring 4 and Duncan the other. And if I remember correctly most of the goals were made by their winger Dave Thomas who I think they bought from QPR. And didn't Thomas make most of the goals when Malcolm McDonald scored 5 for England against Cyprus?

I think Everton were joint Championship favourites (with Liverpool) at the start of the season.

Funnily enough I was thinking about Dave Thomas last week. He was probably my favourite non-Forest player at that time. I used to love his swashbuckling style of play - socks round his ankles, heading for the byline at full chat before pinging over an inch perfect cross. I looked him up and apparently he’s been blind since the age of 50 with an inherited condition.

Not totally blind but severely visually impaired apparently-he still plays golf off a 9 handicap!
A good player and best wishes to him.

Yes, his (auto?)biography came out the other year, called Guiding Me Home And Away, and seemed to be well regarded.

I thought the England national team was cursed on the pitch over the years, but it seems they may also be cursed as managers.

Rooney. Lampard. Gerrard. Gary Neville. Scholes. Paul Ince.

No wonder most of them go into punditry.
