Mance also will stay. Warbo repeatedly states that he loves a player who can comfortably play in multiple positions, and Mance is comfortable at RB/CB/DM and can do a job at LB too. Thats why when Traore came in over Pinillos, Pinillos wasn't even on the bench cos Mance can cover the whole back 4 if needs be.

I can see Perquis going in the summer (sadly) as he's been shifted out the 11 by the Worrall.

I'd forget Mancienne at DM under Warburton. Maybe the slow build up under Dougie, but with the new manager asking for the ball to be recycled at pace, Mancienne won't cope.

As for the FB positions, you only have to watch Lichaj, Pinillos & Traore work there to see how limited Mancienne is there too, particularly going forward. We're better off having designated cover there.

Ultimately Manc should be judged as a CB, he's a f***ing expensive one though, 20+k a week over the last 3 years doesnt jump out as value for money, I see Worrall, Fox & Mills as very viable alternatives given the saving.

With players like Cohen and Vaughan, its currently about how they are managed, and how their training is suited to their faults.
But the fact is we cannot rely on either of these players, we cant build a season around them in midfield, too many seasons in the past we have been waiting.

Constantly waiting for players to be fit, constantly saying "once he gets fit we'll have a great team". I really don't want Forest to do that anymore.
It sounds harsh, but I wouldn't mind if we let go either / both of them, and move on to the future. Cohen will still be a Forest legend no matter what.

As he'll still be under contract I'm not so sure he'll be released, unless, of course, he forces the issue.

I thought he'd overcome injury (he'd undergone an operation on his jaw) some weeks ago and had simply been overlooked for selection by Brazil and then MW, but that's evidently not the case as he only returned to full training last week.

The fact he's a steady, robust defender and relatively comfortable with the ball at his feet makes me think he might still find favour with MW.

- so many of what we call 'quality' have played so few games, Cohen, Vaughan, Mancienne, Mills, Hobbs, Pinillios, Traore
- second top scorer Lansbury and Vellios, third top Burke!!!!, attacking midfielder Osborn four goals in 42 games.
- so few appearances by all the Loan players

We are carrying way to many players and should get rid of anyone not good enough or not fit enough to play at least 30 games, yes including Cohen and Vaughan.

In terms of Mance if we can get the right sort of replacement in - maybe someone like Grant Hanley then we would be better suited paying his wages elsewhere.

Hanley was only signed for 5 years last year by newcastle. He'll be on hugh wages , not sure why people seemed to think he's a better alternative than mancienne 25k ? Ridiculous.

according to the post warburton is keen to take some tottenham kids on loan and become a feeder club to help progress there youngsters. with warburton history with working with youngsters and history in london it does seem very plausible but he does seem the kind of guy that can nurture the talent, very positive, dont see sticking with many of the players bought in

If people whine about mancienne getting big wages , how do you advocate getting someone in to replace on almost equally high wages. Personally , never thought that highly of hanley. He's slow and a bit of a thug. There's a reason why he has zero game time while a far superior player in lascelles retained his place in defence.

It's not as good as it looks.

Previously our deal with Kitbag saw them paying an up front fee every season to sell our merchandise where they then bore the costs for manufacturing, shipping etc. Forest now have to cover those costs in advance. In reality I'd imagine there is actually little difference between the profit gained between the two different routes to supply especially considering that both match day attendances and other commercial activities have been falling, meaning there are fewer customers coming to the ground and therefore the club shop as most of the merchandise sales will be over the counter rather than online.

I'm hoping that we try and build our squad around a style of play, where numerous players can slot into the side, as and when required as don't want to be overly reliant on certain individuals.

Especially with our squad being so injury prone of recent years.

I'm hoping MW streamlines the squad but so that there's still enough depth.

Certain players who are just at the club but never likely to play need to be moved on as they are the one's costing us big time.

Recruitment ought to be done a damn site better this summer but don't expect miracles in terms of reducing our spending as we need to remain as competitive as possible and may as well have MW aiming for a promotion push even if we eventually finish mid table where I currently think we ought to be.

Fingers crossed MW can work miracles but any improvement on this season will do next season.

If we brought back the real old labour added with the power the unions used to have, then the working class would once again have a voice and a solution to the current problems we face!

It's all a load of horseshit these days and think it always will be from now on.

These are the days of alternative facts where there's far too much to divert people's attentions.

The days where you could rise up through the unions are long gone.

Can see us being run by the rich capitalist elite for many years to come, not that they weren't always pulling the strings in reality but they have nonetheless well and truly slammed the door shut on that avenue now!

Would expect Ben Brereton to sign a new contract in a week or two. He turns 18 on 18th of April so is eligible for a proper contract opposed to the youth one and would assume the club will want to tie him down to a long term deal.
