I have a feeling that if we have a decent enough season with a few heroic performances over the big guns we will fast become a favourite with the neutral romantics with any interest in the EPL.

The history, the badge, the age and dynamism of the team, the manager's attitude, and much more besides will win hearts if we turn it on and stay true to the ethos Coops has fostered.

Think St Pauli, Deportivo, Parma etc.

Should have a summer thread for Reds to report the worst knock-off seen on their travels. I've seen some absolute belters over the years. I remember being in Thailand and seeing a mash-up Manure/Gucci/Nike abomination. Selling like hot cakes they were.

A few moments ago I had a look at Forest's Tiktok account.

I honestly think Tiktok is for the clinically stupid. Forest's account is just shit, but some of the stuff other people put on is moronic. Everyone just does a variation of the same thing but trying to show ever so slightly more tit whilst doing it. Truly pathetic.

Once in Japan, I was walking down the street in Osaka and spied a man on the other side of the road wearing a „Collymore era“ red/black Labatt‘s shirt.

„Uuuuu Reedddsss!“ I shouted.

„f***ing have it!“ was the reply.

I was rather shocked, because he was quite clearly, Japanese!

But there you go.

Stayed at a hotel in Bangkok and the hotel manager spoke to me about Forest when he saw my shirt. Started reeling off names from the glory years but then went into the lesser known mid 80s names like Davenport 😆

I’ve posted before, but in 2018 I took my daughter to Catalunya on holiday.

I was wearing a Forest away Shirt when we checked in, and the young guy manning reception - couldn’t have been more than 25 - turns out he was a massive football fan, and knew all about Forest, Mr. Clough, and the clubs‘ history.

Anyway, after a conversation about football, he asked me to hang on a few minutes, so we did, and he gave us a free upgrade to a suite, simply because „I like Forest“, to which I was not going to object at all.

My daughter thought I was brilliant anyway, because she ended up with her own room. Win-win, and all because of NFFC and Mr. Clough.

I live near St Ives (Cornwall, not Cambridgeshire) and at this time in particular I see a lot of shirts about, I've seen about 5 Forest shirts this week including one wearing that Inter Milan style away shirt we had about 15 years ago.

In 2017 I was in San Diego for Comic-Con. Laika studios had set up a big location where you could see some of the sets from their films - Coraline, Boxtrolls, Missing Link etc. As I'm walking in one of the Laika employees spots my shirt and shouts out "Oi Forest!". I have a chat with him. Turns out he is originally from Leicester and moved to California when Laika bought the design studio he worked for. He used to go to the city ground quite a bit back in the 90s, so we had a good chat about two East Midlanders being very far from home. Nice guy. Didn't get his name but did have a photo with him.

It surprises me that even as the risks are now universally know with the tik tok app, parents are oblivious with regard to ownership of the app and their childs responsibility. It beggars belief.

risks everywhere on the web, but tik tok in particular should raise more alarms with everyone if you scratch just below the surface

I was working in Libya & one evening I was sat in the hotel bar (alcohol free lager because Gaddafi still had the gig) watching the sheepshaggers on al-jazeera and somehow I got chatting to a Libyan bloke who couldn't speak a word of English & my Arabic didn't stretch much past please & thank you but somehow we managed to establish that I was a Forest fan at which point he reeled off the entire line up of the 79 European Cup final.
