So with this model the club wants to spend 10 million do the 75000 have to cough up 5 ?

Or are the 75000 of you committing the perfect crime where you have equal say but none of the financial burden ?

I think Derby used a similar model where they spend 36 million and 62 million of us carried that cost, unless that poor sod coughed and sorted HMRC out.

not bitter at all 🙄
Members pay €100 a year each, for their „share“ in the e.V.

They elect a board - including supporter representatives - who then run things on a daily basis.

Commercial deal are done, including sponsorships and other investment, and that, along with ticket revenue and broadcast income, is where the bulk of the money comes from.

There are strict financial regulations in German football; before the start of each season, every club must present detailed accounts and a business plan, and only then will they get a license to play from the German FA.

Any club not producing those, or producing a business plan that doesn’t add up, can be forcibly relegated, as in recent years those grand old clubs 1. FC Kaiserslautern and TSV 1860 München have found to their cost.

Last Season in the 3. Liga, Türkgügü München basically ran out of money mid season, and were stopped from playing by the DFB and their results annulled, and the club then shortly after were liquidated.

A situation like Derby, where they were able to consistently cheat for several seasons, would be unlikely to happen in the German game, as any such club trying to fiddle the books that way would get found out very quickly (and good luck trying to cheat the German Taxman as well).

Sounds typically German and our method is typically British.

I leave you all to decide which you prefer.

I've been a fan of the German model for years. I think we could have gone the same way if the Premier League hadn't been the worlds leading domestic league. Until that shifts I can't see it ever changing unless there was a change in independent governance.

It's all about mid-table...
Whenever I take photos at the WFCG I also try to leave out the PT stand as it looks too embarrassing.
I love the Main stand, but it looks like a derelict shed in the modern game, especially as it has been left to decay by the owners of NFFC over the decades.

WHEN the new stand arrives it should hold 15k and be built in STONE so it stands for a THOUSAND years.

Oya listening EM ??

Hashtag Controversial, indeed.

Seeing a lot of fans using last season's FA Cup game results agains premier league opposition as a measure of next season's performance levels.

It bothers me. That's all.

It's going to be controversial for some and an unpopular opinion but it's been grating on me so I fired a tweet off

It could bring the club some good publicity that could go beyond the UK though and the club will want all the publicity that they can get.

Those polls are quite interesting.

I have to say that as fans we appear to be the most realistic (compared to the teams we'll be battling against) but with Cooper rated so highly, we're quietly confident.

Newcastle fans seem a bit overly optimistic. The squad they have is bang average, wonky, injury prone, inconsistent etc. They will be in with the pack that we're aiming to be in unless they pull some rabbits out of the hat but there's nothing looking imminent.

I reckon we can do them on day 1.
