He's done loads of Forest stories and has never got one right. Why he still continues to report on us I don't know.

Wayne Veysey or "Sir spamalot" essentially his stories are broadly reporting on transfers that are either at agreed transfer fee or medical stage or speculative and unsubstantiated like this one.

We might not sign this guy but genuinely I would be surprised if speculation players become actual players, the only player last season i remember there being talk of all summer and us signing was Jimmy Garner, everyone else was pretty much a bolt out of the blue and I expect that to be the same this summer.

Whilst there's no doubt that our ability to get the loan players to improve markedly has probably priced ourselves out of getting them, there is a less tangible silver lining - players will start to view us / Cooper as a place they want to get to. That will benefit us down the track, though it may not always be obvious.

No idea how reliable this Nigerian outlet is (probably more so than Wayne though...), an article from this morning:

Exclusive - Taiwo Awoniyi Shuns RB Leipzig, Agrees Personal Terms With Nottingham Forest

Union Berlin and Nigeria international forward Taiwo Awoniyi is few details away from joining newly promoted English Premier League side Nottingham Forest on a four year deal.

Awoniyi and his agent are meeting with officials of the English Premier League side in Greece. We exclusively gat.d that an agreement on his wages have been reached all that is left is for a transfer fee to be agreed with Union Berlin.

24 year old Awoniyi is keen on the move to England as it is the wish of his wife to settle this desire made him to turn down a move to fellow German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.

A fee of €20m has been pegged as his buy out clause with Nottingham Forest expected to meet it with ease. His former club Liverpool are due a percentage from his proposed sale as they had a sell on clause inserted in the deal that took him to the club last summer.

He scored 15 goals in 31 Bundesliga games last season and also made the Nigerian team to the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon. He hasn’t been called up since then but new coach Jose Peseiro is reportedly keeping a close watch on him.

Edit: this appears to be the original source of the above, way less spammy than the other link:

Won't be the same this summer. There is so much more attention on the business we'll be doing, because of the pool of players we're fishing in and the levels of transfer fee, so expect a lot more of our actual transfer business being played out in public.

No doubt this is Syrianos working his magic. Fits in with pretty much all the criteria.

You can really tell they do their research on the players too. Apparently his data is really impressive.

Don't we play Union Berlin in a friendly next month too?
