The NFFC timeline on Twitter at the moment makes me feel like I have my shit together in life.
4. We are targeting high quality players where the selling club has no intention of selling. Where we compete with multiple other clubs once a bid is accepted and so the whole process is a lot slower, but will come through eventually. Why aren’t players keen to join us,Captain?
It must be-
1.We aren’t offering enough money.
2.Wilson can’t close a deal.
3.We are targeting the wrong players.
I very much doubt it’s because of Steve Cooper (who many players would probably love to play for).
I agree that the window is starting to look like a disaster.
More chance of me winning the lottery at the moment than a signing.
And I don't even play.

To go with all the hysterics & moaning the timeline's been infested by the National Fruit Fly Convention taking place today #NFFC.The NFFC timeline on Twitter at the moment makes me feel like I have my shit together in life.
I admire your optimism-I hope it’s justified.4. We are targeting high quality players where the selling club has no intention of selling. Where we compete with multiple other clubs once a bid is accepted and so the whole process is a lot slower, but will come through eventually.
A bit like clubs bidding on Brennan. If he does go eventually, it wont have been a quick one as we wont be messed around for one of our stars. Drawing out that stage. If a bid is accepted, Brennan will be waiting to see what Villa, Brentford and us have to stay. Drawing out that stage too. Then we would want to spend/replace Johno potentially, looking into other moves before we allow Johno to go.
Deals on high quality players take an age unless you’re a top 6 team.
Hopefully an option with a positive spin
Agree with most of that, but I imagine he's not even in our top 10 earners. The lad needs a new contract to reflect his importance to the team. Why the fuk would Brennan want to go anywhere? He'd be an absolute fukin nutter.
He's at the club he loves, he's getting fantastic wonga, all his mates are here, he's worshipped by our fans, Coops luvs him and he luvs Coops, he's established international status, he's a big part in an improving Nottingham Forest side that will establish itself in the best league in the world.
That's the world on a stick right there.
Why would you imagine that?Agree with most of that, but I imagine he's not even in our top 10 earners. The lad needs a new contract to reflect his importance to the team.
He signed his contract early on last summer, and since then we've signed the following on their rumoured wages:Why would you imagine that?
He'll be pushed even further down the pecking order if/when Henderson signs as he'll be on circa £100k a week unless Ross has convinced him to take a pay cut. Seems unlikely given seemingly he'd struggle to sell water in the Sahara. He
He signed his contract early on last summer, and since then we've signed the following on their rumoured wages:
Chris Wood - £90k pw
Jonjo Shelvey - £65k pw
Felipe - £60k pw
MGW - £50k+ pw
Frueler - £50k+ pw
Having signed on frees, you imagine Aurier and Kouyate's wages will be upwards of £40k pw.
Plus we had Lingard on anywhere between £80-150k depending on which source you believe.
And meanwhile, much of the Forest fanbase are shuddering like a shitting dog because the club haven’t made a single proper new signing. This is like a junkie who has gone cold turkey.
We got hit after hit last summer and January, now the supply has dried up and we are all shaking in a corner.

I’ve just been next door ( don’t know why) ……If anyone thinks we’ve got it tough …..Wow the poor buggers that lot are discussing as potential new signings puts things into a little context for me.And meanwhile, much of the Forest fanbase are shuddering like a shitting dog because the club haven’t made a single proper new signing.
Would you possibly consider that Wilson and Cooper know who they want Cloughie, and are unwilling to deviate from that list and bring in players who are no better than those we already have in order to pacify impatient/malcontented supporters? Why aren’t players keen to join us,Captain?

I might if I had more faith in Wilson,Otis.Would you possibly consider that Wilson and Cooper know who they want Cloughie, and are unwilling to deviate from that list and bring in players who are no better than those we already have in order to pacify impatient/malcontented supporters?
Although I still don't get your mistrust of Wilson after such a short period in situ, fair enough Cloughie.I might if I had more faith in Wilson,Otis.
I suppose the proof of the pudding is in the eating.
