Starting 11 Against Brum

I'd go for:

Camp

Wilson Breckin Morgan Cohen

Anderson Perch Thornhill McCleary

Garner Earnshaw

Definitely weaker without McGugan, Fletcher and Lynch, but I still think that team's good enough to get a win tomorrow. Wilson is naturally a right back or centre half so should fill in quite comfortably on the right.

He's probably less of a natural right back than Chambers! He was beyond awful the last time we used him at Right Back.

our injury/selection problems are just seemingly endless...even when we apparently have all our players back fit, ready to rock, raring to go, it then turns out that we are still without 6 first team players/choices for this game against birmingham for one reason or another (Moussi, Bennett, McGugan, Fletcher, Lynch, and maybe Cohen) and again having to field a patched up side.

That leaves us scraping the barrel in central midfield with the cupboard looking very bare. Perch will probably have to play centre mid with all those absentees, meaning Chambers will come back in at right back :frantic: . I wouldnt particularly fancy Thornhill in there, though he may have to play, especially if Lynch doesnt make it and Cohen has to go to LB.

I think I'd have to go with:

Camp

Chambers Breckin Morgan Heath

Anderson Perch Cohen McCleary

Earnshaw Garner

Given our current situation, I think I'd go with this team. Heath was competant enough when he played earlier in the season, against Burnley I think it was. Plus with our central midfield absentees, I think Cohen will be crucial, if fit to play tomorrow. We need his engine and general qualities against a very good side. I fear that a midfield of Perch and Thornhill will get run over and not offer enough creativity going forward. I still think we have enough in our squad to beat Birmingham tomorrow.

While McCleary has done quite well so far, his rise to prominence has been fairly rapid, and I dont think he can keep repeating good performances week after week this soon. We still have Martin, Davies and Tyson waiting in the wings probably chomping at the bit for a left wing slot, and it might be worth giving one of them a go tomorrow. Just a thought.

I think Fletcher is poor in the middle. Especially when you compare him to Perch.

I think Wilson should be stuck in at right back keep Brecks and Morgan as they are I think Brecks has made a real difference to the defence less complacency under pressure. Only seen Wilson at right back briefly in the past.

Heath would be my choice at left back. Think he looked comfortable when he came in the side felt a bit for him when he was completely dropped.

I would keep pretty much everything else the same.

I agree about Heath but the garb on the O/S seemed to suggest that Cohen will slot in at left back. Perch and Thornhill in the middle looks a little short for me, especially considering that Brum have a very good midfield, albeit not the most creative.

I think Anderson and Gareth McCleary will have to play out of their skins tomorrow to provide the ammo.

With so few options in midfield, I think it is just plain crazy to even consider Cohen at left back. His energy and drive will be essential to keep us going forwards. Perch and Thornhill are not enough in centre mid. Heath has been playing well in the reserves and deserves a chance, if not then I would even prefer Wilson there than have such a lightweight midfield.

Yes but most of this forum is pointless, surely opinion, gossip and conjecture are the pillars of message boards of this kind?
Life itself is pointless frankly. The book of Ecclesiates in the bible begins with just those words: 'Life is useless, absolutely useless.'
So, in this way the forum merely mimics life itself. All you can do is conject and hope that once in a while you do something worthwhile like getting Season Ticket Teen to return to the forums. I count it as the one achievement of my entire existence. When I die and God is asking me what I did that was worth the oxygen I consumed I can say:
'Hell yes, Season Ticket Teen started posting again and I sucked up to Stan Collymore in a truly shameful way.'
I wish I could watch Forest this afternoon. I like going to watch Forest. You can have beers and sing. It's the anticipation I like. The games are often really awful but the anticipation is always great.

I'd like to see Martin on the left to be honest and Mcleary coming off the bench if needed.

We need to go a solid 4-4-2 with old fashioned wingers and overlapping fullback!!!

Is Gary Crosby fit this week??

Well, noone predicted that one. ::)

Thanks to bookings, injuries and the dreaded runny botty, we're left a little short.

That team looks terrible if I'm being totally honest. No McCleary, no Earnshaw, no McGugan, we may be in some deep trouble this aftertoon.

Everyone should read this and eat their words. Me included ! :D

Well, hopefully next week we will have Earnie, Fletcher and Lynch back in contention so the team selection could be interesting. Plus, GM should be raring to go after being rested today.

Having said that, Perch, Tys and Thornhill did a great job today and it would be harsh to drop them.

Oh, I was shitting it. Especially after they got their goal - I saw Wolves all over again.

Delighted to be wrong.

You need to know two things. It's 6pm on a Saturday and I am still in school, therefore teachers do work hard. Secondly, not being able to post to the forum for the last three weeks has been like having my bollocks removed.

Fair play to the lads, despite missing players through injuries and suspensions, and up against the second best side in the division, they outplayed the opposition by all accounts and secured a point. Well done, let's push on from here and get ourselves out of the bottom 3.
