Moussi and Bennett are defo out. McGugan starts a 3 match ban. Cohen should be fit, aswell as Fletcher. Martin? (dont Know). So i would go;

                  Camp
Perch Morgan  Breckin Lynch

Anderson Fletcher Cohen McCleary

           Garner  Earnshaw

Davies,Thornhill,Tyson,Wilson,Smith

Basically, Cohen in for McGugan is the only change.

I'd have Chambers on the bench instead of Davies. We need the defensive cover.

I noticed in the NEP that CC praised his loan players and talked about them all individually except Martin, perhaps means nothing but he has definetly fallen out of the picture injury or not.

Would hope that McGugan replaced by Cohen is only change, the team needs some stability.

Chambers should be up front. Seems to be the only person who can get something on target.

I'd agree with the starting line up there. I thought Chambers had alright game when he came on.

Got the assist for our goal. So all is well with the world. Hopefully Cohen recovers in time, otherwise 4-3-3 hear we come.

chambers also gave the penalty away which prevented a goal, so well played i say :)

Not to mention the fact that we looked a lot better with Perch in midfield.

I think the midfield looked pretty solid until Fletcher and then McGugan went off.

Anderson has helped too, he's pretty good defensively and gets back well. It helps the full backs no end having two wide midfielders with pace.

Fletcher out, Lynch a major doubt...

Camp;

Chambers, Morgan, Breckin, Cohen;

Anderson, Perch, Thornhill, McCleary;

Earnshaw, Garner.

That's a week looking centre midfield now!  Thornill against O'Conner, Carsley and Larsson?  I like the lad but those are 3 quality, experienced players. Even Perch will have a job on his hands there.

Obviously Bennet and Moussi still out along with Mcgugan. Flecther is also definately out. I've heard that Lynch and Cohen are extreamly doubtfull. So the team will porbably be:

                 Camp

Chambers Morgan Breckin Wilson

Mcleary Perch Thornhill Anderson

         Earnshaw Garner

Wilson at Left-Back? I think I'd rather go with Heath.

I would guess that the team will be the one Calderwood picks.

Therefore it's pointless in guessing.

You're guessing that the team will be the one that Calderwood picks, but then state that guessing is pointless?

So if your guess was pointless, then by default the team might not be one that Calderwood picks? Does that mean the players are going to decide, or the chairman? Or Geoff Hurst?

Yes but most of this forum is pointless, surely opinion, gossip and conjecture are the pillars of message boards of this kind?

With this news, I think it's almost tombola time with regards to the starting line-up. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw Tyson operating as a left wing-back.  :unsure:

The central midfield now surely looks like it's gonna be Perch and Thornhill out of necessity, with Cohen going to left-back (although Tyson would be amusing). By default, that means Chambers will have to play right-back unless Caldo takes a punt on Wilson there.

I'd give Joe Heath another go at left-back, as I really think we'll need Cohen's energy in the middle of the park. I can just see Perch and Thornhill getting the run around.

Agreed. Even though I'm a big fan of Thornhil, I thought Heath did well when he was in the side and couldn't understand why he seemingly got pushed right down the pecking order afterwards...

Certainly with so many players out we need to be careful about where we concentrate our strengths and I think against Brum's probable line up, our midfielders are going to be tested more than our full-backs.

This injury thing is starting to get annoying.

If it were another opponent, I'd have a look at Heath, but we just can't afford to have him make his second league start against Birmingham.

For that reason, Cohen goes to left back. Chambers on the right, and Perch and Thornhill, who I fear may find himself a bit out of his depth, in the middle of the park.

If that doesn't work out, bring Thornhill off for Heath, switching Cohen to the midfield.

Anything out of this game would be a bonus.
