Grabbans injury is ironically a massive blessing, as without that injury we wouldn't have Signed Surridge.

Cracking signing, one I thought would be pants, but isn't.

Long live King Dane Murphy and his glorious ability to spot a player.

He does have a lot of sub appearances or starts then being subbed. Be good to see him start more and play more, especially with no Davis around.

Changing the main striker during the game seems to me to make good sense.
The main striker puts in a lot of energy and takes a lot of physical challenges during the game.
Defenders get to “read” what the striker is likely to do as the game wears on.
Bringing on another striker after 60 minutes or at another time if the starting striker isn’t effective brings new challenges for tiring defenders .
Sam and Dave (is) are the men now!

Matched my thoughts exactly. He's been so much better than I thought he'd be.

I think Surridge may have been down to Cooper mostly, as he'd previously managed the player at Swansea.

The Murphy and Cooper combination working its magic again.

Was heading down loads of balls. Not as strong as Davis obviously but still a presence. Should have put the laces through the ball for his one chance, but atleast we won.

He probably was, however Coops did say that they weren't planning on getting a striker in Jan until Grabbs got Injures, Surridge also said that he was on the verge of signing for someone else until we came in.

£2.5m was it, for the young man?

That’s looking like a rather astute piece of business.

Just watched the game again and Surridge is one of those players who does a lot more than you see at first glance. Good movement and energy.

Thought that was his best game last night, no goal (was unlucky, great save from the keeper he did everything right) but his build up play was very good. Was finding space and picking good passes. The thing I like about him is he moves the ball quickly, no dordelling which you see from a lot of strikers.

Agents demand more than the fee we paid for this guy for players with less talent.

Only 500k more than a then 29-y/o Da Costa.

The leaps we've taken forward by bringing Murphs & Coops here are exactly what we needed.

Had Lamouchi got someone like Surridge or Davis instead of Diakhaby & Da Costa we may have already gone up.

Thankfully EM has rectified this in exactly the right way :)

You won’t get love for that statement but you are 100% correct. Managers pre Murphy have been shafted with transfers.

Bargain.
