I mean we as fans haven't seen enough to really form an opinion either way relating to his play, attitude or demeanour, though that hasn't stopped a few on here from unfairly doing so. Cooper and the training staff however have and it'll be their opinion that matters most and will determine what happens to him here

As notcher and others have said, parameters have changed so he's probably not up to the standard we now need to start in the premier league, but they could still deem him good enough for cover but out of decency and respect for the player, we could agree to send him on loan so that his world cup chances and fitness aren't compromised.

Like Ojeda, you feel this was one brought in as cover and replacement for loans should we have remained in the Champ. As it is, we have now moved up to level to high for them.

Think Ojeda is different, one for the future.

Richie is like mid 20’s. If there wasn’t a god forsaken world cup in the winter, I don’t think he would’ve been told to go on loan if he wants.

"...but he rarely smiles or shows enthusiasm..."

Ronaldinho used to smile all the time. I loved him for the fact that he always got a bang out of just kicking a football around and was happy to let everyone know it. As for Richie Laryea, having seen him play for Toronto FC and Canada on numerous occasions, and for Forest on a couple of occasions, I couldn't say that he smiled any more or any less than any other player on the field at the time. As for enthusiasm, there was/is none more dedicated to performing at the top of his abilities all the time. That is an unfair slur.

Plus.....Robbie Savage and Dennis Wise smiled a lot.

And they were both cun*s.

Whereas Zidane never smiled and was pretty bloody good.

I think the message here is to not judge a player by how much he smiles.

I'm surprised that there isn't a Football Manager player attribute for 'Smiliness'

They did used to have a hidden attribute called “temperament” or something, that would control how difficult players would become, but I believe they took it out to avoid the threat of being sued by players.

Anelka used to be 20/20. I picked him up for about 1.4m once and he absolutely banged goals for fun. I never argued with him, paid him what he wanted, walked on eggshells around him etc. He still had a tantrum after about 4 months (wants to move to a bigger club) and then went AWOL…..

When we bought him we were around 9th and 6/7 points adrift of the play offs I guess not sure if Djed was continuing his loa(I think) and also for cover...let's be honest did anyone seriously think we would be in the Premiership in Jan? Neither did Forest.

On the odd appearance I saw him he has some tricky feet and looked OK, positioning was a little too far up the pitch but can't judge more on that really.

They do have things like professionalism, determination and ambition hidden under the bonnet, just a more complex way of doing it (like everything else in Football Manager now)

I think those were there before, along with 'big match' and 'dirtiness'

Not surprising. Good for him to go back there.

He never really looked like breaking through to me.

I hope he has a good World Cup.

Great news, thanks for the heads-up. I look forward to seeing him interact with Bernadeschi, one of Toronto's new Italian signings, on the right side. Richie getting minutes is the main thing.

For anyone still interested in Forest player out on loan Richie Laryea…

Twitter highlight and Reddit outtakes on Nashville 3 Toronto 4. Maybe he’s not good enough for EPL or even Championship but still…

“Richie is so good. Assist, shithouse a pen taker, draw a penalty. What a return.”

“Laryea is a god. Old news.”

“Laryea provided such a boost today wow”

“Laryea is exactly what this team needed.”

Post reporting Hull wanted him on loan - seemed odd at first then to send him home, though perhaps the idea was to put him somewhere he'd get games ready for the world cup, in the hope he'd do well and command a better fee?

Perhaps a goodwill gesture considering he's moved country, never played really then told he's no longer wanted all within 7 months
