I'd seriously be tempted to get some legals on this case.
If the club are to be punished for our failure to implement FFP/PSR rules correctly, why shouldn't refs be punished for their failure to implement the on-pitch rules correctly?
If the Prem & governing bodies are happy to take a view of "well these things happen", then they should take that view to our oversight of FFP/PSR.
All a pipe dream I know.
