Question about new season tickets

First Team Squad
What with the news on away fans been given further increase (joke) have the club though about fabs who go with there mate's families?..I mean it's all well and good saying the affected fans will be given another seat somewhere in the ground but my question is will u be able to be sat next the guys u go to the match with?. there's nothing in the official post to say otherwise?..this will cause problems if they think they can just put people were they like and nit think about who they go with..come on forest don't ruin things before we've even started.

Absolutely gutted, in Y1 and will almost certainly be moved. It's a settled area, packed with long standing ST holders, who make a big difference to match day atmosphere. Why haven't we been given at least another season like other clubs! Forest will almost certainly drop a random email at a random time asking those affected to relocate and it's going to be a messy free-for-all to try and get somewhere decent.

Anyone relocated should be remembered and get first dibs in the new PT stand when built.

Said for years, will say again now: If there's a way to f*** it up, NFFC Ticketing will find it.

The worst thing is that as Forest have somehow changed ticketing systems more times than I’ve changed countries of residence (and that’s a fair few) those of us who supported and followed the club through the abject dark days of League One find that history matters not one jot.

I had a season ticket for fifteen years before I emigrated, including such highlights as the three seasons in League One, but as far as Forest are concerned, bar the small number of matches I manage to make in a season (no more than three home ones) I may as well not exist.

But that’s OK, I’m sure there’s a modern generation of new fans who will be only too happy to pay through the nose for a match ticket, whilst spending most of the game trying to capture selfies to post on Instagram.

I guess I really am a „legacy fan“.

It is just such a shame that it's lower bridgeford that have to move. They have been great since they moved there and do a good job in building the atmosphere. I hope they will all go to a similar area but I imagine there isn't much choice to be had?

We are already seeing the issues with our stadium.

Did the Club speak to any of the fan groups before doing this? Forza? Supporters Trust? LTLF?

and I bet they’ll bring back the sterile area in front of a block again and make t block in the lower bc a sterile area too for good measure!.

Wow !

I knew this club could be shitty towards it's supporters at times, but this is a new level of shitty.

I didn't know what was happening with my eldest daughter's job as she was expecting to work a lot of weekends, so didn't initially renew her season ticket, though I did renew those of myself, my other daughter and my son. Then my (future) wife decided that she'd like to start attending regularly, so while I was in hospital waiting for my surgery, I persistently tried to phone the ticket office to ask whether she could take over my daughter's seat. Couldn't get through. By the time I came out of my coma, my eldest daughter had discovered that she wouldn't need to work as many weekends as she thought, so I again tried to phone on numerous occasions. This time, I was going to ask whether I could pay the adult rate for her card (she's 21), so that it would be easy for my fiance to use it when she couldn't attend. Couldn't get through.

I returned home and got back on it, couldn't get through. I e-mailed them about the matter three times, no reply. I went down to the city ground. Was given a firm 'NO', before I could even finish explaining the circumstances. I wrote a letter to the ticket office manager explaining what had happened and asking for him to show some compassion. No f***ing reply as usual. So, I was banking on quickly snapping up the seat when Season Cards went on general sale. But today's news scuppers that plan.

So now, If I was to go to matches, someone else will be sitting in the seat between me and the two kids that I would be taking. Yes, some people will probably swap seats with me without any problems, but others may not.

The only thought going through my head at the moment is 'bollocks to the whole thing'. I don't think I'll be going anymore.

We really need that planning permission for the ground developments to be granted. The City Ground as it is just isn't big enough anymore, and it is going to lose us millions in revenue from all the tickets we could have sold.

Ticket revenue, plus beverages, plus commercial revenue from events outside football.

Off the wall suggestions, Forest - semi-permanent additional seating in the corners at either end of the Main Stand. I bet you could get 500+ seats in like that and you'd have a much more attractive "move" option for LB folk rather than them being scattered to the shitty corners of the ground.

Segregation.
Most of the PL games you see on telly have 1 line of stewards separating the rival fans.
You don't see a mahoosive canvas dead zone at Old Trafford, Emirates, Etihad etc. Drop the segregation to that and you only have to displace a few hundred supporters rather than 4 figures.

Gods. If only there was some sort of accessible internet-based forum full of Nottingham Forest supporters of various professions, experience and ages who Forest could have asked, in order to get a plethora of ideas and suggestions - some of which would be unworkable and unviable, but many others which might have been better than the lazy option chosen here....

It all adds up, doesn't it?

I'm even starting to question whether the proposed increase in capacity to 38k is enough anymore. I feel that we could easily smash 40k these days, given the demand for tickets now.

I'm as disappointed as anyone but I'm not sure what else Forest can do. Rules dictate that we have to give away another 1000 away tickets and as things stand, the only place to house them is to extend the Bridgford allocation.

The real issue is demand now far outstrips the current capacity. For those who won't even entertain the idea of leaving The City Ground in the event we can't increase capacity, this is the alternative.

Fill up the corners you kill the airflow to the pitch and neuter the grass.

The sad reality of promotion to the Premierleague is that compromises like this are going to be a thing and demand for tickets is going to go through the roof. I had previously been sharing a season ticket with my dad prior to him retiring now obviously he's stopped working and will be going to every game. I say share, I would go to like 80% of the games and buy a ticket to sit with him when he went. That's out of the question now.

I'll be honest, I f***ing resent that I'm going to have to compete not just with our own plastic fans (the ones that would only show up for Derby or a prem cup game) but also the f***ing day trippers as well now that re-buy their tickets for twice the price on a tout website. It's one less thing I can do with my old man as well.

It's not even the cost. It just bugs the f*** out of me that I like a lot of regulars have loyally suffered for our club over the past 15-20 years and we're going to end up spending more time watching it on Sky than in the stadium.

The Council need to stop f***ing around with the proposals and allow us to get that stand built. If we stay in the Premierleague this season, the amount of extra revenue the stadium is going to bring to the city will be more than worth their while. Could give a shit about Sheila who lives in Lady Bay that doesn't like all the noise or whatever it is.

Well we're going to be f**ked when we build the new Main stand then.

Some people are going to lose out, the demand is so high for tickets.
I agree.
The club is in an impossible position due to the relatively small capacity of the ground.
Clearly, the 17,000-20,000 who purchased season cards last season(probably expecting the usual shite), were quite rightly given the opportunity to renew well before the final outcome of the Championship season
was known.
Given that the away supporters allocation is now 3,000,it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realise that demand is well exceeding supply.
Thank you Rushcliffe Borough Council-you should hang your heads in shame.
