Question about new season tickets

FutGuy

Hi all

I don’t normally go to football but my 7 year wants to start going to live games so I would like to start taking him and get an adult and child season ticket.

So I don’t know how season tickets sales work but I assume if the 20k renew their season tickets will the remaining stadium capacity go on general sale? Or is there a waiting list of some sort where I need to register my interest?.

I called the ticket office last week but they won’t give me much info other than please check the website daily for possible information

Thanks

The Forest website has just added an update.
In summary-
Until the club have received a full briefing from the Premier League, there will be no information to provide supporters.

Please also note that there is a potential cap on the number of season cards the club is permitted to sell within the Premier League against stadium capacity.

On a slightly different note-the Forest website is awful. There one really short paragraph from cooper about promotion. U’d think they’d have interviews, video, clips of game, masses of photo’s. What should be the main source of information is woeful.

Talking of this, I've been waiting since Sunday for our YouTube channel to be updated.....

How can there be nothing posted on the clubs biggest day in 23-30 years!

They should be milking this for all the marbles.

They'll probably need to think about giving some fans time to relocate their season cards to different seats now that they will lose them to the away allocation. You would guess that those unfortunately affected will be in either lower Bridgford or perhaps the end few blocks of lower BC if that equates to the extra 1k seats they'll need.

Personally I doubt there will be any new season ticket sales, but even if there are the amount of people wanting them will bee many many times greater than the amount available, so good luck but don't get your hopes up.

a large number I’m sure have already renewed their ST’s in lower Bridgford y1 and y2 at last seasons prices, bargain for the premier league,be a shame if they get shifted what with the atmosphere that’s been created in the lower bridgford stand last season.

Yeah this.

I’ve watched Forest for years but didn’t go the last two seasons, for this reason I doubt I’ll even get a matchday ticket next season. Especially if the Wembley demand is anything to go by.
One of the main reasons I pushed the Main Stand redevelopment idea over the years is because it was obvious this was going to happen at some point.

To the OP, good luck if you try to get one but if not there are always the midweek Cup games that two thirds of those who were at Wembley won’t be attending.

Premier League away allocation is 3000 or 10% of capacity, whichever is smaller.

Our capacity is 30000 and bits so 3000.

We currently offer 2000 to away in LB, and there aren't 1000 empty seats even in the pessimistic segregation that we have.

I doubt the club will split the away fans so something has got to give.
Either lower BC at the far end or lower bridgford near the goal are going to have to relocate.

The season card cap brought in a couple of years ago solved the potential overcrowding issue but there will still be s/t holders who will need to move into whatever seats are currently available around the ground.

Once the club have worked out if they can sell more season tickets, I'd assume they will release them in stages i.e. home members with 10 plus games, home members with 5 plus games, home members, general sale with 10 plus games etc. This would seem like a logical way of doing things, being as such a small number (if any) will be released.

You don't have to give 10% if you have concerns on safety grounds.

We can keep the away allocation at 2k if we show it's for safety reasons.

It states that we can arrange for special measures if discussed with the Premier League.

I suspect segregation etc would fall into this category.

Im sure there is still a segregation gate on the concourse of Lower BC from when we used to give away fans the whole of T block. Wouldn’t be difficult to knock an opening through so they could enter at the lower bridgford end instead of the Brian Clough car park.
Be interesting to see what happens.
T Block and P Block above it turned into the daytripper seats up until this season so would probably make more sense than moving the lower bridgford lot.

Indeed

Away fans used to (back in the old days) be offered the corner terrace section and the 1st 1 or 2 blocks of lower executive stand (as it was called) so it _can_ be done.

How many tickets did Bournemouth give to away fans when they were up there? Was it as many as 3000?

Theeir capacity was 11,000 when they were in the Prem, so away allocation was 1,100.
The Russian Oligarch owner (and alleged friend of Putin - how come he's not been sanctioned?) did want to build a big new stadium, but then manager Eddie howe said "don't do it: one of our big strengths psychologically is that there are so few away fans able to get tickets".

Obviously it would be easier to give away fans the LB... BUT, I have memories of very loud away fans like Newcastle, Sheff Weds, both Manchester clubs. I think we should avoid giving away teams that boost of seeing a wall of their fans behind the goal. We'll need every small advantage we can.

How much does the Lower BC hold? Could they not have the whole of that? The fans have been class in there lately, get them in the LB, get the whole stand rocking!

What's the logic behind a cap on season ticket sales? Is it a club-imposed thing, so that more people can attend and they can generate more revenue per seat? Or is it a league rule?

From a club perspective, there's been a cap for a few years now in that they're expecting to rebuild the Main Stand - so they want to make sure that when it happens anyone who needs relocating can still be accommodated elsewhere in the ground.

I suspect that the reference to the Premier League is mostly figuring out how much the various changes (increased away allocations, media areas, segregation points) will require the already existing cap to be revised.

I thought the rule was 3000 or 10% - whichever was fewer?

I think it's fair to assume that people who go in lower bc like a view from the side of the pitch so not sure they'd be happy to be moved to lower Bridgford.......
