Looks like we're playing Lincoln on 13th July, though possibly not the full 1st team as syas Forest XI.

Shame they can't get our name right though!

Players likely to be missing start of pre-season.

1. Scott McKenna - Euros
2. Lyle Taylor - Off to Gold Cup Qualifiers. Could miss the whole pre-season if they qualify.
3. Joao Carvalho - late finish in Spain?
4. Iaonnou - Cyprus Internationals post season (?)

Staveley Miners Welfare is a tough place to get a result.

The old fella slowly pushing round the line marker with the squeaky wheel was bound to be automated sooner or later

We have these out on the highways (well on some sites) but they are an expensive bit of kit so the bloke with the 'barra still exists! Clever bit of kit though, it all works off GPS coordinates, you 'draw' what you want on CAD and press go and it works it out for itself.

Away kits needed for 2 of those so expect a kit launch for that in the next week or so.

Don't quote me on this, but I am sure in previous years we have worn the previous years kit when the new home/away isn't ready yet?

Definitely been done before and I've also seen us wear our home kit even when away (Alfreton Town springs to mind). I'm slightly optimistic that we have our house in order in respect of kit launches these days. This season is much earlier in comparison to anything I remember. Hopefully the days of releasing them about 3 days before the season starts are long gone.

Living in a bit of a rural area, we still have ploughing matches at the fete some years; depends on the crop rotation at the farm next door. I was amazed to learn how they do the same GPS thing on tractors these days so that they can sort out the most complex problems when planting/ sowing etc.

what we could do with a young collymore now.

Even Stan at his current age would probably offer more than some „strikers“ Forest have fielded in recent seasons.
