Garibaldi Gazette is the most well-polished which given it's contributors is probably not too surprising. I like it personally but agree the Ali interview with his daughter was weird. Particularly as her answers were clearly scripted.
Forest Focus has improved as time has gone on but probably suffers from over-saturation. I understand that Matt needs to make a living from it but sometimes less is more. It's fine for me as I drive for a living so just listen at work but I'd imagine most casual listeners don't have the time to listen to 4/5 hours of the same podcast each week.
Red Side of The Trent is best to listen to after a defeat as some of their rants can be legendary, albeit toned down since their move to the talksport network.

I sometimes wake in the night and put on the radio. BBC have several spots during the night when theyput on podcasts on different subjects.
I find, if the subject is factual and the presenters, guests, are experts the pods are very good.
If they involve passion projects and the presenters guests are merely enthusiasts or pundits, the pods are rather boring, rambling affairs with lots of ill-disciplined talking, laughing and odd opinions expressed. The latter appear to include most football podcasts I hear.
Which is why I don't bother to tune in when I have better things to do.

Feel awfull saying this but garibaldi reds podcast now with max he's a lovely kid well spoken intelligent driven he started young knew what he wanted and went for it and I can't fault him one bit.
But do I want to listen to him unfortunately not it bores me to tears feels way too polished for something I want to hear I much prefer a blokes in the pub vibe

Love this. I couldn't quite put my finger on why I don't really enjoy the GR pod since Matt and his crew left but think I'm on a similar wavelength to you. Seems weird to say but it doesn't feel like you are listening to supporters but more so general football observers. I get a more passionate Reds vibe from Forest Focus.

Yes - there is a large growing list of people turning off Max Hayes, he does not provide the content people want to listen too. He is just out for himself essentially, he needs replacing on GR podcast now

Aren't all podcasters out for themselves though? Matt Davies is trying to make it a nice little earner on FF too. I've no problem with that.
I've no issue really with Max either. He's always been a big Forest lad. I think the issue is more the guests he gets on his show. Watch Sarah on there then compare to Emily on FF for example.

By that I obviously mean he is just too professional he's young and it will work for him and 100% fair play but not what I'm after

Ultimately, Forest is not an homogeneous group of fans, so its reasonable that there should be a variety of podcasts that can serve different groups and tastes.

For ages I've thought Red Side of the Trent was the best of the bunch but f uck me I dunno now...they spent a good half an hour of the last episode going off on one against Ryan Yates. His last two performances haven't been good granted but you don't need to stretch it out for half the friggin episode. It wasn't a good listen at all and it's been going that way for a while with the one lad on there...

Totally agree. Have been listening to it for ages but listening to the latest one on the way home from work, I turned it off and not sure I will listen again. The vitriol towards Yatesy was ridiculous. Absolutely understand he is not Pele and can see the arguments for him to be dropped but some of the stuff they were coming out with really put me off listening to it again in the future.
