GAFF LAD. "Open your knees and feel the breeze"
The latest Garibaldi Gazette podcast is another cure for insomnia.

Psycho also visited Matt Forde in hospital after his operation a number of times. Psycho still loves Forest
The line about Psycho being caught reading Treasure Island in the dugout made me laugh.

I suspect Championship Nottingham Forest were little more than a passing interesting to him.

The PL will bring all sorts of people out of the woodwork. I noticed during The Spurs match at the weekend, there was a whole section populated almost entirely by Korean supports more interested in filming the players than actually celebrating the goal. It's why our supporter base is still pretty unique in The PL, in the main the stadium is populated by Forest fans who have been around for years.

I am pleasantly surprised by the Garibaldi Gazette. When I knew it was an Arsha brainchild I thought it would be a sh*tshow as he was an awful guest on Garibaldi Red imo. But fair play he has turned it around and isn't annoying this time, actually made me laugh a few times. Been enjoying it.

I listen to them all except I've dropped The 1865 as I find it boring and abit of a weird format. I drive alot for work so they all pass the time well.

I think Arsha has got worse. He's added weird self indulgence to his pseudo intellect.

The perfect time to listen to recordings etc. In the past when there were not such things as podcasts I used to record a lot of radio stuff to listen to as I drove those boring miles to work. I no longer have to do that and perhaps it's why I don't bother with these podcasts which elicit so much discussion on here; at home there is so much more to do of interest which leaves little time for such stuff.

I listened to the garibaldi red podcast after west ham.... the guy on there mispronouncing the Brazilian wonder kids as "Muril E-O" and "Danill E-O" made me chuckle in an embarrassed kind of way. He then went on to get genuinely annoyed that the AfCON winners weren't even on the bench, I turned off at that point as it passed my (quite low) tolerance threshold for general ignorance

Behind the scenes at MOTD from Forest Focus ( obviously not recommended for those triggered by the very mention of Lineker ) confirms some conspiracy theories and debunks others.

some of these podcasts really need to realise that sometimes less is more - I'm not going to listen to an hour podcast every day.
One or two a week is more than enough output.

I end up just deleting half of them...

Since West Ham, Forest Focus have done 5 podcasts - that's crazy in a week where nothing has happened.

That’s why I decided to stick with the BBC one and the Gazette.

I know its madness, why are shops open when im not using them, i only need them to be open when im there and i only want to go twice a week. In fact there are some shops ive never been in, and dont get me started on tv programmes ive not got time to watch theres only so many hours in a day and its such a waste... whats the point?

I get what your saying and you make a very good point of course you don't have to listen take forest focus I'd say its my favourite when it was garibaldi reds I actively used to look forward to but since the change to forest focus and more episodes I find I try to listen to all of them but all that's done is make me become a bit bored halfway through each episode and only half listening so he does also have a point because these things can affect the audience who listen the preview and review format works perfectly for me and I think that's the only ones I'll listen to going forward because the promotion season and last year I really looked forward to listening

You miss the point.

It's a good product that they are spreading thin and therefore reducing the quality.

People only have so much time to listen to podcasts, why would I choose the diluted product instead of a different one that has no filler?

From memory FF have this week produced
an immediate post match reaction
a larger panel reflection a few days after
interviewed a celeb fan with positive news about his cancer story
a behind the scenes look at a popular TV programme on which Forest and other football teams feature quite heavily
A shorter edition prematch with a rival team podcasts focussed on that rival team
A prematch with our own supporting cast

Theres a little overlap between the first and second edition , the rest seemed distinct and additive rather than dilutory.

I like FF but the issue I have with it is the number of guests as he asks the same question to each guest and most of time the second guest will just repeat the answers of the first guest.

That's part of the frustrating lack of production values.

He should take a leaf out the MOTD guy's book.

It just neefs a bullet point plan with a script outline of a pre agreed discussion, and just share the points or alternate on topics where there's concensus. Would probably help him stop over-leading in his questions too.

Yes exactly, it’s been my biggest gripe of him since Garibaldi Reds.

I want the discussion to flow instead of it being a group interview sesh.

But each one is 45 mins to over an hour (bar the villa fan interview one)...

The previous week after Newcastle it was (each 40-60 mins):
immediate post match reaction
Are forest going down
breaking down the relegation battle
david de gea offer explained
preview for West Ham match

Surely these could be condensed?
2 a week, 3 if something big happens...
