Apparently Watford want £2m for him.

For me that is an absolute no brainer, he can do a job as a squad player and we will need to fill out our squad.

As I said in another thread, I think £2m for Zincs would be a bargain. Criminally underrated by some of our fans IMO. I'd love to see him back here next season.

Absolute no brainer. I'd much rather be bringing Zink off the bench than Lolley.

For 2m then I'd take him no questions asked. Zincs would be a great sub next season!

I agree he is underrated, he went through a spell where he was getting the love he deserved but seems to have gone back to pre-that now.

I am not sure he is Premier League standard, but can do a job for the team and the squad - but I just don't think you can turn your nose up at that price. He has back to back promotions from the Champ now, even if the worst happens and we go back down you have a read made player.

5 subs next season dictates we will need as many players as possible. Bringing in Zinc for peanuts is one less headache to think about.

I was surprised somewhat to see he was born in 94, seems to have spent a fair amount of time in the foreign leagues, thought he was younger than that.

2m is an absolute steal though. He is the unseen link between MF and attack a lot of the time, and helps with the press with his efforts tracking back, you have to actually watch him to see all the good things he does because a lot of them aren't flashy.

Surprised Watford don't want him for their promotion push though as he has now managed promotion every season in England...

Hard to say how Zincs would fare in the Premier League as he's never really been given the opportunity. He certainly didn't disgrace himself against Premier League opposition in our cup run though IMO.

As has been said, he would at very worst be a decent player to have on the bench.

£2m absolute bargain. Have said elsewhere I don't think he's good enough to be regular first team at this level but his work rate and positive play could still be useful off the bench. £2m for a squad player that you already know the strengths /weaknesses of is excellent value. Obviously helps maintain the team spirit from this season too.

I don't see him as a #10 in the prem tbh, but he could absolutely be a decent ball distributor/deeper lying CM alongside a quicker, younger more physical player. Although that likely wouldn't be alongside Yates as I don't think the two would be able to cover each other's weaknesses.

Not sure I see Zincs in the Prem, honestly.

Too slow to be penetrative, not really the player to make incisive passes in attack, not really the all-action midfielder.

Good for the Championship, but I can see why Watford loaned him out this season. Though they didn't really get anyone to replace him.

I reckon they will want him next season. Shame for him really, gets a team up then drops back down to play

Very underrated.

I think he showed in the games against Arsenal, Liverpool & Leicester that he won't look out of place in the Prem.

Even if he's not a guaranteed starter, at circa £2m it's a no brainer as a squad player.

Zinks is another one who has taken his heart to the club and will run through brick walls for the cause.

I would be very disappointed if we didn't sign him up if the option was there, especially for the banded about 2/3 million.

I am sure you know your leagues better than me, but imho Zinc's football fits better in Premier league than in championship. It will be a mistake if you don't sign him for this amount of money. He will be much better next season with a better LB to support him.

You don't need just starters but quality players on the bench too.

For 2M I’d snap their hands off.

At the very least he’s a good option off the bench who will run his socks off for the club.

He’s played a huge part in what we’ve achieved this season. Agree with Fossil in that he’s played some of his best football against Premier League teams in the cup run. If the price being quoted is correct we should get it done and quick. May not be a starter next year but I’d be delighted to bring him in on a permanent deal
