I think the key for him coming from a foreign league and with a dubious pre season is not to overload him in the first half of the season or there’s likely to be an injury. I’d be looking to give him every 3rd game off or from the bench at the moment
He had a full part in the preseason work with the VfB; he maybe missed a couple of days whilst he was negotiating the move to Forest, but other than that, he will have been well along with his preseason prep, and remember, the Bundesliga started earlier than the Premier League, because of the league being brought forward due to the World Cup and this meaning that the First round of the German Cup was played in the last week of July.
