One realistic signing from the World Cup?

John Robertson
Well , he is a realistic name in the world cup and he can play down the flanks with his pace. Lichaj is a bit injury prone , we need someone better than Halford as a replacement RB.

I'm not saying don't buy him. I'm saying he's not the answer to a problem we don't have. He's going to want to play and he's not as good as Lichaj, ATM.

if your talking about yedlin? well he would be a perfect rb for us. youth and is a promising player Put yedlin on rb then lichaj on lb then put cohen in midfield. or just have yedlin as a backup for lichaj because alllllll them injuries that happen because soccer.......

yedlin is one of americas top young talents right now and to give him European exprience would be beneficial for both parties.

Peralta from Mexico - plays for Santos Laguna in the mexican league so shouldn't be too expensive I wouldn't have thought and he looks like a ****** - gets my vote

Dirk Kuyt is one of those footballers managers like and fans don't.

I used to hate him at Liverpool you could pretty much guarantee he'd come on and score. They could've done with keeping him

Bit like Jamie Mackie, albeit a somewhat higher calibre of player.
I was thinking of that description for Thomas Muller (also had in mind the position he played in 2010).

If everyone didn't keep mentioning Ochoa was out of contract we could have sold Darlow for 10 million and picked him up as replacement! Clough's signing of Shilton was deemed so important, although would he think of Ochoa as more like Shilton or more like Tomaszewski? Great saves again today anyway. Not that I know much about goalkeeping and not to have a go at Joe Hart, but Lloris and Ochoa (for the Robben chance) have done what he maybe should have against Suarez I noticed i.e come close to him to block off the angle.

Out of our league unfortunately, just signed for America for 10 million dollars - A Mexican record.

said him a few pages back - brilliant player - scored in each game so far - he can bring his mate Quintero with him too

Yes, and he also moved for over £40m last summer! Dear lord.

Abdelmoumen Djabou? Fairly realistic I imagine, and we know Fawaz likes an Algerian. Could be a decent backup plan if we can't lure James Rodriguez to the City Ground.

I really like the look of Brahimi too though he's probably out of our league.

It's too long for a chant anyway.

One realistic signing from the World Cup, there's only one realistic signing from the World Cup...

For those slagging off Yedlin, aside from Howard he was man of the match against Belgium. I think some just assumed he can't deliver a cross (probably never saw him play). His crossing was great & he consistently took the ball where Belgium least wanted it.

I wasn't slagging him off and from what I had seen of him before last night he lacked a decent end product the majority of the time. He had a blinder last night, I just don't think right back is an area we need strengthening unless everything else is sorted.

different world isn't it when you're a club that's a such a level they want to offload Di Maria!

Bizarre, when I saw Real last season he was comfortably their best player.
