One realistic signing from the World Cup?

If you could sign one realistic player from the World Cup who would it be .I would go for Mathew Leckie from Australia , although he has just moved to another German second division team , or Joel Campbell of Costa Rica - maybe on a loan . It might be possible if Wenger wants to see more of him when he gets back from the WC.

One of the Chilean centre halves. That Jara bloke looks handy.

Was impressed by Orr from Australia. The Aussies will be more realistic.

Really rate Joel Campbell, but no chance. He'll continue to have a stormer, and Wenger will use him.

Joel Campbell will be Arsenal first team if he carries on the way he's going. Id also go for the Aussie and Tim Cahill. Genuinely think the lad is attainable.

serge aurier Ivory Coast (Toulouse FC) - awesome amount of crosses and runs

Faouzi Ghoulam Algeria (Napoli) - what could go wrong with an Algerian in the team?!

Juan Quintero Columbia (Porto) - not played yet but f***ing unbelievable skill and still only 21

James Rodriguez Colombia (Monaco) / Arturo Vidal Chile (Juventus) - alright, I'm just in dream land but love these two

Jason Davidson looks a far better prospect at left back than that Jara chap .He could be tempted to move to Forest in the footsteps of his dad !

There are a number of Australian players who would jump at the chance to move to a club like Forest. It can be dangerous shopping at a World Cup though as players often don't reach the same heights for their club sides.

That said Mark Milligan for the Socceroos would be a brilliant signing. His club side Melbourne Victory rejected a ~800,000 pound offer from Crystal Palace in January. He would be available this time around for the same bid or less as his contract is running down. He is keen to move abroad. Is the preferred midfielder partner to Mile Jedinak in the Australian team and national team performances have been to the same standard.

Yes Mark Milligan should fit right in at Forest , he missed the Netherlands game since he got injured in training !

It wont be too long before Milligan is playing his trade in England\Europe, he is way to good for the A league. As an Aussie i'd love to see one of our boys at Forest as the last one (David Tarka?) didn't do too well. Matthew Leckie looks a good prospect but just lacks that finishing touch at the moment. I read in the press today that Fulham are about to sign Adam Taggert who is another young prospect to shine in the A league.

So Joel Campbell is a ridiculous suggestion, but Bojan isn't? Get a grip pol, you're losing it

Miguel Layun of Mexico (also has Spanish citizenship) would do for me, just not sure we need another left back / left mid.

I don't know, I personally don't really buy on the whole World Cup fever signings clubs make. There's too much difference, for example Diego Costa is a fantastic striker, yet if you watched him based on the World Cup you'd think otherwise.

I always link it back to Euro 96/France 98 when Fergie got all excited about Karel Poborský and signed him for United.

Where's me hammer?
That jara looked good for Chile but I'm not sure he has the temperament to play on a Tuesday night in an fa cup replay at somewhere like Preston or on a shitty Saturday afternoon at Barnsley.......

Sounds daft but anyone could look good in a few games in the world cup but if the temperament ain't there or they don't wanna play they are a waste of space....

we should go pick up some of those Spanish shirkers. clubs will obviously be dumping them asap, and given last night's performance there'll be few takers. still, probably not good enough etc etc ...

Luckily Chelsea signed Costa (who going by his two world cup games where he didn't have a shot on target, looks another duff striker signing by them!)

There are much better strikers (obviously not attainable) who strangely didn't make their world cup squad such as Negredo.

Costa's class, a bit mental but really good, He's been out injured for a while and doesn't look sharp, nor have Spain played in a way that gets the best out of him. I reckon he'll be the main one that gets Chelsea the title next year.

Psycho will be signing you up if you're not careful...

Both scored and looking lethal.

both were also dirt cheap in the fantasy football league - add Falcao in to the mix and columbia would be unbelievable but will save this for the world cup forum!!

I wonder if Leckie is in any way a relation of the writer Robert Leckie.

He looks like a good player, too.
