I was not, that’s the other Matt from Forza. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Forest history, it’s a pleasure to chat to him about it
That should absolutely be 100% the case.Be interesting to see if we’d put an academy graduate on the bench in the prem if Yates got injured
Unfortunately at the moment it seems that nobody is coming through that could carve out a career in the first team, or even at the level below.Be interesting to see if we’d put an academy graduate on the bench in the prem if Yates got injured
As JonnoSnr implies above Chris it would be to maintain that record only, and not to potentially get on the pitch, sadly. That should absolutely be 100% the case.
Joe Gardner was on the bench against Liverpool so it is possibleAs JonnoSnr implies above Chris it would be to maintain that record only, and not to potentially get on the pitch, sadly.
Seems about right. Fag packet: 80 years x 50 a year = 4,000.I’m amazed we’ve only played 4,058 since 1941. My brain feels like the number of games in that time should be a lot higher.
Mad. My brain lies to me. It should make sense, per your maths, but it still doesn’t look right.Seems about right. Fag packet: 80 years x 50 a year = 4,000.
We've only played about 5000 league games in all years since we Joined Derby's Football League. So add cup games etc, amazed we’ve only played 4,058 games since 1941
Wouldn't Athletic Bilbao trump everyone since they only pick players from the Basque Region?United stands at 4,229 games.
Apparently Everton, Palace and Crewe also have long consecutive runs too although it doesn't state how many that extends to.
Edit: This is across world football too. Apparently not even Ajax or Barcelona could get near it
Hopefully, Joe can eventually step-up.Joe Gardner was on the bench against Liverpool so it is possible
I reckon we must be approaching our 5,000th league game in the next couple of years or so.We've only played about 5000 league games in all years since we Joined Derby's Football League. So add cup games etc,
I was recently looking at some all time tables - following on from @Quntib Hollox 's thread for Nerds.I reckon we must be approaching our 5,000th league game in the next couple of years or so.
My first game against Arsenal in 1966 was our 2,500th league game.
Presumably we haven’t quite reached 5,000 yet as the club would probably haveI was recently looking at some all time tables - following on from @Quntib Hollox 's thread for Nerds.
I couldn't see when it was updated to, byt that had us at 4977.
The same thing happens if you work out how many days you've been alive. The number seems like naff all. It's quite a peculiar illusion that years have a weight to them and but days don't.I’m amazed we’ve only played 4,058 games since 1941. Although seconds is mind blowingThe same thing happens if you work out how many days you've been alive. The number seems like naff all. It's quite a peculiar illusion that years have a weight to them and but days don't.
I’ve done some quick calculations and I reckon we’re a bit closer than I thought-possiblyPresumably we haven’t quite reached 5,000 yet as the club would probably have
announced it.
OMG.I’ve done some quick calculations and I reckon we’re a bit closer than I thought-possibly
within 10 of 5000 league games.
I hope the club treat the landmark in a better manner than Fawaz did on the 150th yearOMG.
The anniversary could be momentus or catastrophic!
This is the club that struggled to count to six, so I wouldn’t count (ha ha!) on that Cloughie!Presumably we haven’t quite reached 5,000 yet as the club would probably have
announced it.
