I don't think we can afford to have Sangare in the team at the moment and i'd be really interested to see how this team does without MGW giving the ball away every other time he touches the ball. I'd keep Murillo in the side over Niakhate but that team at least has some fight in it..

Its interesting you say that because I was watching an Everton fans take on the game last Saturday and he really rated Sangare as one of out better performers.

I don't think it was his best game but he got out of some tricky positions with good footwork. Gave the ball away too easily though, but I'd have said that about all of them, it's a recurring theme for the men in red.

I'm sure an extra few days will have helped his recovery. Should start tomorrow night.

Definitely needs to start if he can. Potentially a brilliant midfield destroyer and needs to improve his confidence.

Only just noticed that this is a 7:30pm kick off. I was all set to arrive about 7:50pm for the usual 8pm kick off.

I would say you probably won't miss much - but actually the way this season goes, you'd probably miss an early goal and then 28 minutes of nothing.

Yeah for some reason Amazon Prime games start at 7:30 or 8:15.

I suppose at least it means you can flick over and watch 15 mins of another game at HT.

I thought he was one of our better players personally alongside Murillo & Mangala, seems like nobody agrees on here. He has 4 or 5 really good touches and bits of play followed by a moment where he takes a second too long, I presume people judge him on that bit.

I was suggesting dropping him to avoid fatiguing him too much following his illness, rather than performance issues. Fatigued players are usually more prone to picking up injuries.

Felipe
Niakhate
Murillo

Mangala
Sangare

CHO
Origi

That is actually a team I'd like to watch (probably through my fingers) but it's too attacking for a Cooper away day I reckon. Unless SC is planning on shooting his way out of the corner he's backed into. Can't see him not finding a way to get MGW in either.

Well it's a bit more than that isn't it - it means you can watch the whole of one match and half of the other. Three halves effectively.

Yeah but smellerdale is on at 7.30 so I can't watch the first half then the football then the 2nd half at HT lol

I think he may go back to a 5 if Felipe is fit to start. If not I'd go for:

Vlach

Aina
Niakhate
Murillo
Toffolo

Sangare
Mangala

CHO
MGW
Elanga

Wood

Get MGW back into the middle of the pitch where he can actually use his 360 style of play - he isn't a winger. If Cooper was worried about not being defensive minded enough I'd switch CHO for Williams.

Set your VHS recorder for Smellerdale.

(I was going to say DVR, but if you're watching that, you're definitely still on VHS...)
hehe tuner card actually lol

Tbf I hardly ever watch anything live these days except sport because that way you can skip the ads

ps: some of the actors in smellerdale are Forest fans and/or from notts

I can see us getting something from tomorrow’s game. Fancy us to win 1-0.

I would definitely drop Wood to the bench and play MGW down the middle in a front 3 of CHO and Elanga.

Playing MGW on the wing and Wood up front is like playing with 9 men. They become useless to the team and unbalance it. I have nothing against Chris Wood but he’s not the answer.

Get the usual 3 back in midfield and Turner in goal.

Cooper needs to try and get a settled side playing (barring any injuries) and grind out some results. Doesn’t have to be pretty on the eyes as needs must and points on the board are more important.

I am still 100% behind Cooper and certain he will turn things round.

I know some won’t agree with the above but that’s my opinion on the current state of affairs.

I'm just workshopping here, but being as Murillo is our best player and has incredible skills to dribble past people and pass it as well as being a good defender. Is there a case for reverting to a back 5 but with Murillo as a roving centre half?

I'm thinking:
Turner
Felipe Murillo Niakate
Williams Mangala Danilo Aina
MGW Elanga
Wood
Looks good, maybe give Origi a chance to prove himself, Wood is useless.
Definitely time to get Neco's energy in the side.
