So far, he has been player of the season for me.
Since his f*** up against West Ham, he has come back stronger and more determined.
A real workhorse of a player. Constant energy.

He did a similar pass to one against them when it cost us a goal. First half, deep in our half and chipped, curled it over a couple of their attackers to one of our Centre backs. Clearly not phased! Love his tenacity and then ability to play a ball round the corner or through the lines to get us on attack.

He's allowing us the opportunity to play with MGW, Elanga and CHO. He does so much work in the middle that we only have to play with two CBs, leaving a spare attacking position to occupy. Having Murillo so good on the ball helps as well, and has possibly made Mangala superfluous.

I guess the plan is to have him and Sangare in the middle with the attacking four ahead of them. Danilo will have something to say about that the way he played yesterday.

I think they'll be deployed based upon the opposition rather than just form. Sangare will probably play against the better teams where we expect to be sitting in for long periods and Danilo will get the not against some of the mid and lower table sides.

Dominguez is a mainstay for me as he's dynamic in and out of possession and he keeps the ball moving intelligently

Absolutely this. Nico looks much better centrally than pushed out wide.

Sangare now has to fight for his place in the side but I think you could play any combination of the three of them in a two man midfield, which is a real benefit as we can hopefully keep all three fit and firing to see out the season.

Yates now the odd man out IMO as he struggles in a two.

Yates needs to kick on to a higher technical level.
He has done it throughout his career, step by step.
However, the next step upwards is massive, and he will need to work even harder with the coaches to achieve that step.
Against Newcastle, Ryan looked to be wel below the technical level to make him a regular starter.
In the Prem, it isn't enough simply to put in 110% effort, and to concentrate on disruptive techniques.

Don't think any central midfielder is a shoe-in now. You can pick them on a game by game basis based on what the opposition is bringing.

Dominguez as Danilo was an interesting one, seemed a bit of a risk in terms of neither of them hold their positions so risked being exposed centrally on the counter but we deliberately played an extremely high line to compensate for that and, presumably, try and keep any fouls we gave away on transition to around the half-way line so the Ward-Prowse set piece threat couldn't be used.

Think we only gave away two free-kicks all game in our third of the pitch, and one of them was late on Origi so not exactly expected to be doing good work in our own final third. Really impressive performance and tactical set-up. But that's not how we're going to play against Villa given they play with a high line - we'll get into a ding-dong of a game which we'd be likely to lose as they've just got more quality in individuals than we do. So expect Villa we'll play deeper, and use direct counter more.

I love the way he insinuates himself inbetween attacker and ball. It's no fluke because he does it all the time. I can't think of another player I've seen do this. It's not a tackle as such, he just slides into the space between forward and ball. His positional awareness is just incredible to allow him do this all the time.

Nah, he'll be fine. Was running around like a mad thing just before. Looked like cramp or something to me.

Was brilliant today, really got stuck into them in midfield.
