This is made more impressive by the fact he's probably the only player on this list that leaves his own half. I would bet he has the best tackle % in the opposition half by a fair distance. He is a gem.

He had a great game Sunday, though he had a really good chance in the first half and I thought he snatched at it quite badly to be fair. The one in the second half was more difficult as he couldn't get his body in the right position, it came at him quite unexpectedly from Taiwo's 'bungling' so let him off.

If he adds shooting ability to his game he will be on a Lars Bohinen level.

Massive upgrade on 'Nemo' Freuler.

The one first half was a good chance for sure, but on the replays you could see it bobbled quite a bit. Think ideally Aina would have hit it slightly softer and cleaner. But I think the second half one off Taiwo was a better chance than you made out personally. Either way he needs to sharpen up his shooting a bit - but then he's basically an £80m midfielder who we won't be able to keep...

Wouldn’t his first half one been called back for offside anyway ? Can’t recall.

Either way, he’s a player isn’t he. Certainly fits the bill for the PL.

Him and Mangala have been excellent this season, I’m pretty sure I said it in this thread that those two are top ten quality.

If Sangare is as good as we’re lead to believe our midfield 3 will probably be as good as possible without spending a boat load of cash, all this with Yates and Danilo on the bench too.

We’ve got a very good squad IMO, all we need a bit more firepower to really push on.

Let's be honest he only got that chance in the first place because of his relentless energy getting up & down the pitch. If you look at the chance back he's on the halfway line when Aina is halfway in their half & still manages to get in the box.

Sauce salad?
He doesn't half put a shift in - his running/being everywhere reminds me of the young Roy Keane. Can't remember seeing anyone quite as mobile through the middle since him?

He’s here, he’s there, he’s every f***ing where Dominguez, Dominguez gotta be brought back. Has that been used since Bonalair?

Certainly, a player who one can confidently say definitely has three shredded wheat every morning.

Is this guy still injured? I think that with him instead of Yates you would have more chances for three points today.

No basis to this, but I’m taking a guess he could be one that isn’t exactly in the managers good books.

My thoughts too. Thought he would come on for Kouyate and "lead the press" but we opted for Danilo instead.

Either in managers bad books or manager wasn't confident his really poor form over last 4-5 games would cause us a problem if he came on today.

After a very encouraging start he looks to have confidence issues at the moment, which could possibly be a result of the relentless intensity of the PL starting have an impact on him in contrast to the generally slower tempo of Serie A. He's a good footballer though and I'm sure he'll come good again, similarly Sangaré.

Left wing wasn't somewhere I thought he'd play...
