When I was a little lad, I didn't have any kit when I first started to play football, so I was given an old football shirt and it had laces to tighten up the neck. It was quite the fashion accessory in old football shirts.
Never noticed them when I was playing (though I was pretty terrible).

Apparent leak of the World Cup 2022 England kits, personally think the Away kit is a thing of beauty, Home strip im on the fence with (Not sure about the panel thing Nike seem to be all about of late).

Yes! There was a few did it I think? Villa home kit definitely, maybe Blackburn? I actually loved the look, very retro with long shorts to matchThe home one reminds me of the green and yellow Manchester United tops from the mid nineties that had the lace up collar. Looked crap then and looks crap now.

Not enjoying all these “random brush strokes” and “kid with a felt tip pen and a blank wall” patterns that seem in fashion this season. I’d like us to have that brown and cream York kit though, oozes class.

Just who thought of that composition given the colour of the shirt. The bizarre stuff the models are wearing clashes horribly with the item they are supposed to be highlighting, even when you manage to sort out the humans in the picture from the lurid background.This year with the scudetto badge..

It is a bit odd, because the concept of football-shirt-as-leisurewear is not really a „thing“ in Germany - you wear your shirt to the match (or the Fan-Park, for international events) and that is it. It is rare to see (for example) random people wearing them down the pub, that doesn‘t really happen - well, down here in Baden-Württemberg anyway.View attachment 16385

personally I think it’s the best national football tracksuit ever made
For some reason, it always reminds me of Thomas Haßler, a wonderful player. Also, its use coincided with the reunification of Germany, which gives it an extra, poignant touch.

Where’s the best place to get Serie A shirts from? All the ones I’ve seen are like £70+.

I saw the advert by the FA for the home shirt - £115

The „official“ ones are indeed all that price.
I bought mine whilst on holiday in Turkey recently (see post above #434) and it cost me €10. I suspect it is not entirely official, but the quality is absolutely acceptable, as is the comfort.

My friend buys her kits off Facebook for £25 each and the quality is amazing. Kids are £20 which even includes shorts and socks.
