AAAGGGHHHH!!!!Macron Karlsruhe 2022-23 third shirt. Same as last season. The design is inspired by the colors of Baden-Würtemberg, culminating in a unique red sash on the front.

Nice. I miss Adidas
My missus is from just outside Freiburg so we visit a lot. You still see Baden flags and colours everywhere and everyone is less than complimentary about their neighbours to the north in Württemberg. At SC Freiburg matches, “Das Badnerlied” (the old anthem) is sung pre-match.AAAGGGHHHH!!!!
You have just committed one of the worst possible insults - the colours are inspired by the former state of Baden, which doesn’t exist anymore, it was incorporated into the new state of Baden-Württemberg (after WWII the area was under American control until 1952, when the new state was founded).
Baden, of which Karlsruhe was a major city, had its colours as red and yellow. Hence the shirt above.
Württemberg, a separate state, centred on the city of Stuttgart, had black and red as its colours. The combined state (since 1952) uses a yellow and black flag, to represent both former states.
Incidentally, the old black and red Württemberg colours are still seen today, on the badge of every Porsche (as that famous company was founded in Stuttgart, and as well as the black and red, the Porsche badge is basically the old Weimar Republic-era coat of arms of Württemberg, with „Stuttgart“ plastered across the middle, just in case you forget where Porsches come from).
Even today, local animosities between Baden and Württemberg play out, especially when VfB Stuttgart plays Karlsruhe SC (which hasn’t been often lately, because KSC have been shit for years).
Anyway, nice shirt, but as a VfB-fan, I have to say „f*** KSC!“
Because of all their boring templates?Nice. I miss Adidas
You are not wrong there. Games against Freiburg are always tasty affairs; I’ll be there in August at the Mercedes-Benz Arena for the next installmeant though! My missus is from just outside Freiburg so we visit a lot. We’re away at VfB in August, unfortunately on the day I head back to the UK. Hoping to see us play BVB the weekend before at home though.

I reckon the reason we haven’t got one is the people offering the most money and all naff sponsors and we are trying to get a better one.Nice shirt ruined by a god awful sponsor.
I hope the same fate doesn't befall us.
Love the shirt, shitty sponsor though.I like it
And also wears off after time.Personally I can't get past the glued on club badge on that Blackburn shirt - for my taste a club badge needs to be embroidered otherwise it looks cheap and nasty and spoils the (otherwise very smart) shirt.
Wft is going on there! Who genuinely though f*** it, we'll cram everything into it..it'll work..people will buy itHere's why Ronaldo wants out of Man U - he doesn't want to be seen in this:
Makes me want to be sick through my eyes.
Drugs.Wft is going on there! Who genuinely though f*** it, we'll cram everything into it..it'll work..people will buy it
One of the reasons I love that black / gold adidas kit we had is it’s all embroidered and has no sponsor. It will last forever. And also wears off after time.
I have one of the Football Index shirts from a few seasons ago and the badge has all but peeled off.
That is an absolute shocker. It looks more like a cycling jersey than a football shirt.Nike Template committing another crime against individuality for the spuds away, just £115 as well, no Premier league badges included but two sponsors at least!
