It will be interesting if he does sign what the fee will be. No doubt it’ll be a club record signing, but just like lingard as wages which went from 150k to 180k to 200k and actually ended up at 80k, I think the 30m may well be lots of bonus clauses.

Not any sort of detective work but somebody mentioned on the wolves forum there is nothing on any of his profiles regarding Wolves and they are right. He would post loads when on loan and before when he played for them but not a single post this pre season & doesn’t even have them on his profile picture or bio.

I think this is an imminent move now. Told myself all Summer it won't happen, to either be proven current or very pleasantly surprised. The club have really gone for broke. The question is, where does he fit? Is be competing with Johnson/Lingard or playing as a more orthodox centre midfield? Irrespective, arguably the best young championship players last season could all be with the reds!
Now, I have no idea just how good the likes of Mangala is or how good Awoniyi is for that matter... But, a team of:

Would challenge for top half of the league. Pace/youth/goals everywhere you look in that side and there's still Mangala, Awoniyi and Surridge to fit in.

Thing is about fitting him in - he is so versatile. I think you could play him in any of our front 3 positions & that includes striker as a false 9 drifting out wide.
He has been playing for Wolves in pre season in a similar role to Johnson, played for Sheff Utd all over the shop (and ran our defenders ragged “out of position”), started out as a defensive midfielder.

I think we need to be careful of predicting top half of league. There are so many factors involved including injuries, suspensions, trying to gel basically a brand new team, strength of other teams. Watching Watford the other night and there attacking 3 are real quality and they still went down.

Last season, their last 12 games went like this.....Won 1, drawn 2, lost 9.
If we're looking at momentum, we've certainly got that over them and I don't think their squad is that good either.
If they lost Ward-Prowse, it would be a given.
