Reading this forum and the music that is sometimes mentioned.

Makes me feel how I'm sure my parents felt when Rock 'n' Roll burst onto an unsuspecting world.

Radiohead? Kid A, Amnesiac? It's my Heartbreak Hotel moment!

Believe me Richard, it wont be.

To compare Radiohead with Elvis would be nothing less than sacrilege.

Just bringing this back on topic you only have to look to the dramatic population growth during the Elizabethan era to see why levels of poverty in Tudor England escalated in the way they did. Supply and demand couldn't be met and the little food that was available was over priced due to its rarity. As food prices rose, people’s wages began to decrease, leading to inflation; thus workers began to shift their focus from agriculture to higher-wage urban jobs.

Enough of that nonsense.

What are everyone's thoughts on whether Emperor Diocletian's economic and social reforms in the late 3rd century in the face of rampant inflation and internal instability laid the groundwork for fuedal Europe?

The thing about Emperor Diocletian is he always tries to walk it in.

One less gobshite...
I'm sure he's being pelted as we write.

But I wouldn't. He shared what he thought was viable info, it hasn't come to pass.

Thems the breaks.

In contrast to most on twitter, it certainly didn't seem like he was doing it for the clicks. I did get extremely excited when he said it though.

Whenever Morgan Gibbs-White is mentioned, I can't help but wonder why his name is actually three Surnames.
More chance of Johnson Clark Harris

I've always liked Radiohead, some of the latter albums went somewhere obscure and I leave those to collect dust only getting an outing randomly just to remind me that they could have been better, my missus hates them saying the music wants her to slash her fudging wrists, but my youngest lad, now 14 thinks they're great, also Muse who obviously played as support to Radiohead before they hit the big time on their own

I like all their albums except the first one, which i kind of like for a while but its boring, and the latest one, which was just not that good for some reason.

I have all their albums up to and including In Rainbows but never got around listening to the most recent two.

Agree that Pablo Honey is pretty mediocre. The jump in quality between that album and The Bends is huge.

Only 1.75 hrs before the weekend time for a cold cider and I fancy putting some tunes on, maybe the Clash, E.L.O. or some Madness?

Weston Super-Mare?

Cold Cider?

If it isn‘t The Wurzels, you will have failed the integration test!

A rather Malthusian take.
