Morgan Anthony Gibbs-White

I thought he had his best game for ages yesterday.

Corners were good and he even put in an excellent shot that was well cleared off the line.

It was only on Match of the Day that I realised it was probably going wide .

Fantastic today after a good performance against Bournemouth. Even allowing for being played out of position all season there's been no sign of this all season. If MGW keeps this up we'll be fine.

I agreed before this Newcastle game and now he went up another level! If only he scored one of his two chances.

I'm a fan, always have been. Sometimes he tries too hard to use his skills, but seemingly today (I've not seen the game) he got it right.

Lovely to hear Nuno praise Cooper in his post-match interview for the way he’s brought MGW on as a player. Whilst some pointed to a somewhat ‘icey’ relationship between the two previously, it’s clear that Nuno is looking to build this team around Morgan. And so he should, he’s been absolutely fantastic in his favoured 10 role, but also much improved with his defensive contributions (duels, recoveries etc)

Gibbs-White was overshadowed today by Woodiniho but let’s not ignore the fact that his performance was absolutely immense.

I have never doubted his effort levels but he is certainly playing in a role more suited to his strengths.

Whatever we do, MG-W is my first player on the team sheet.

As long as he's playing through the center I couldn't agree more.

If he adds goal to his game he will be sensational and all the so called bigger clubs will be sniffing around.

BBC Sport report from today suggests they will already be looking. Not actually seen many of his games so don’t know first hand but was that his best Forest performance?

He looks like the player that was a coinflip from being in the England squad again, what an utter waste it was having him out wide. He did his best but it's so obvious he is such an impactful player when central. You could see he was loving it today.

Why was he wide then? It’s early days but if we see more and more from the side in the coming months we have to question the decisions Cooper made.

I've criticized him more than once for a variety of things, but the past two games since Nuno took over he's been excellent. If not for Wood's trick he'd have been man of the match quite easily today. His application in all aspects of the game was excellent. I honestly don't give a shit about his finishing. If he creates chances like he did today we won't need him to finish anything. If he keeps this up he will end up in the England squad.

Because Awoniyi, CHO were injured and even Elanga I think had small knock at some point.

Also think Aina, Montiel, Neco and Serge have had knocks at various points earlier in the season.

Let's not bash SC because he was f**ked by injuries constantly.

Don’t mean to bash SC at all but if Nuno gets a better tune out of the squad you have to wonder why.

Injuries and individual mistakes were a large part of it. We were a few mistakes away from having probably another 6 points or so. Very fine margins.

I don't think Nuno will do anything massively different tactically but might have a few tricks and some nous that SC hasn't. Nuno has is in his I think 11th or 12th season as manager? Steve Cooper his 5th and 3 of those were at Forest with all that brings with it.

Is MGW Nuno's captain? Pretty sure that he didn't hand the armband over to either Yates or Worrall when they came on today?
