I'm also in the camp that thinks Surridge will make the step up. His finishing is amongst the best we've seen at the CG in modern times and he's not half bad at stealing a yard whipping a low ball in the box either.

Also agree about Davies. Championship clubs won't pay above £8m, Prem clubs know he's not proven and Villa won't want him sat in the stands. Having the option to bring him and Surridge on against tiring defences is an exciting prospect.

Think we all forget Lyle Taylor is still on our books, though I suspect he won't be at the start of the season, and if he is he won't even trouble the bench in the league.

Trouble with Taylor is his wages, can’t see the clubs he’s likely to appeal to as a player will match them. Suspect another loan where someone picks up a percentage of his salary will be the outcome.

Yeah, Lyle going back to Birmingham seems very unlikely at the moment - they're not going to commit to anything new until their takeover is completed, and all the rumours suggest that the new owner is intending to replace Bowyer immediately.

I can't see anyone paying a fee for him - especially at 32. It'll either be a free transfer or another loan.

Leeds accepting a bid for Raphinha could give us some issues signing MGW you’d think, given their reported interest a couple weeks back. They have a lot to work with now

He's got a choice if he doesn't stay at Wolves, probably more than 2 options. If he's got his head screwed on the right way he should see where it's all happening, it's with us obviously.

Cooper may rate him highly but if he’s up for sale I reckon we will be priced out.

We may have more money than ever before but we still can’t afford multiple £20m players.

As always it’s cheaper to shop abroad.
