I feel like that position is make or break for us. It’s not to say MGW is the only option there, but he’s by far the best option of anyone linked.

Nixon is a tough one. I feel like he is generally accurate when he is specific like this (especially when the story is prominent in his article). It’s the throw in comments and vague Twitter replies which make him look silly. Almost like he refuses to say he doesn’t know or is out the loop.

There is always going to be competition for him when he’s on the open market and hasn’t signed a new deal at Wolves. I wouldn’t be surprised if more clubs come sniffing the closer he gets to moving.

Clearly Nixon has some sources but it's tremendously difficult to tell when he has an agenda that someone wants to push for him and when it's a bone he's been thrown for his services. It would make sense as palace have a Connor Gallagher sized hole to fill but perhaps they still have hope to sign him. Even the twitter account that posted it was dubious about it not just being game playing.
We'll see if any more reputable journos pick it up, then I'll be worried!

About 3/4 years ago a mate of mine bought a house in Awsworth. There was an absolute stunner living next door. Her boyfriend turned out to be Gibbs-White who he met a couple of times.

If Palace are genuinely in for him, we'll have no chance of getting him. He'll be heading to London should Wolves sell.
Expect more of these, the historically 'smaller' clubs that are more established in the top flight will always pip us to players.
