Matz Willy Els Sels

Not going to go over board with the praise as I still need to see him .ale a decent save but he looks solid. It helps that the defence and midfield didn't I've the ball away sloppily today anywhere near as much as normal, and I can't remember 1 error leading to a chance yesterday.

Hopefully now he's settled hell get more clean sheets

Didn't have anything to do at all yesterday so wouldn't rush in with the praise too quickly, especially after the 3rd Newcastle which I thought he should have saved.

I'll be happy enough going forward if he doesn't have anything to do though as that will highlight the improvement in the defensive unit that we desperately needed. In an ideal world you wouldn't know how good your keeper is as he's never needed.

What he has got is a cannon of a long kick. With a bit of luck he could have assists in back to back games

He just looks like an actual keeper to me, which is an undoubted improvement on the ghost or the court jester that we’re rotating before him
It's clean as a bastard. Sometimes a player strikes a ball and you think oh that's a different noise and that's what you hear when he launches it. Similar to when when Danilo catches one of his thunderbastards clean from distance

If he gets the same Keystone Cops defending in front of him his confidence will disappear as well and we'll see more comedy defending as the players lose their faith in him, hopefully sorting out those defensive blunders will make the biggest difference.

He was always going to be hard pushed to be worse than what we already had and he's not made anything other than routine stops so far but having said that he's also not managed to throw it into his own net yet either.

It could be the goalkeeper, it could be a fit Felipe starting, but something has to be the catalyst for us tightening up in defence and if it's Sels then great.

it was the call of the new goalkeeping coach rui barbosa to get sels as ross left it to him if he wants him. Hopefully his judgement is much better than his predecessor.

It’s like……a bad stint 10 years ago shouldn’t be used as a reason to crucify a player!

Him and Tavares, even Akpom but we didn’t sign him. I would’ve put a mortgage on him being good for us.

So far so good, at the moment.

I'm not entirely sure why there are still rumours that we'll be out buying another first choice keeper in the summer. This guy is solid enough to be our number 1, we maybe need a backup but no point wasting money.

I don't think we've seen enough yet to be entirely sure. It was a brilliant save off Murillo's head, but apart from that he's had very little to do. His kicking appears excellent, granted.

If I was this fella I’d get rid of the name Matz and just go for Willy Els Sels it’s got a better ring to it.
