Watching the game we were fecking shite but good result though

We weren’t shite at all, we weren’t as fluid as we can be & we didn’t keep possession as well as we can be we were solid, controlled the majority of the game, we were clinical with our finishing & won 3-2

I'm amazed to hear anybody suggest we're a dirty side. I thought they were on top until Joe Lolley scored & yes it was from a mistake by their goalie. Our second was a really well worked goal.....can't see how anybody could think otherwise. The 3rd came from persistence by us & smart work by Joe Lolley....We were well on top until their 2nd but they never looked looked like getting a third...one eyed fans come to mind and they do moan a lot ....and always have done.

Aside from up until they scored and the last 10/15 minutes we had them at arms length and were very much in control of the proceedings. Even during their good spells they barely troubled Samba unduly. From an outsider perspective they seem to be suffering the Sunderland syndrome. They have expensive premier league players who couldn't give a tuppenny bit about their work. Butland was shocking for one.

I did enjoy a couple of their fans on the radio tonight going on about how they're a massive club and they shouldn't be where they are. There's really only a few massive clubs in the world and Stoke are not one of them.:D :D

The fact I had to google it says it all!! Yes 1971-72 season they won the LC.

MASSIVE CLUB!

Stoke City. Known all around the world. Stanley Matthews, memories of the Victoria Ground, jumpers for goalposts, them stripes, that league cup final win, wow, loads of silverware.

Biggest club in this league by far. They tower over us, Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday, West Brom, Derby...

Good job we didn’t go a goal down.
Pity our midfield didn’t get us back into the game with sheer effort.
Wish our fans had got behind the team.
Wish our three danger men had scored a goal each.

We’re just shite.

Oh, wait .......

Was looking at attendances, and it's all about your East Mid & Yorkshire clubs like us, Leeds, Sheff Wed, the Sheeple.

Stoke, Wigan, Hull etc. All these nowhere nobody clubs can f*** back off into the background of history where they belong. Those raking in high attendances at the mo should be Prem clubs IMO.

Didn’t they win the League Cup in the mid 1970’s or something?

I’ve been watching Forest since 1980 and Stoke have always been rubbish in that time, even in the Premiership they did nothing with vile football. Even Coventry f***ing City won the FA Cup in the 80’s.

Stoke was my first ever away game when I was a kid in the mid 60's. They had a run of a dozen years or so in the old 1st Division from the early 60's.

Aye... I remember the likes of Gordon Banks, Dennis Smith, Peter Dobing, Terry Conroy, Jimmy Greenhoff, Allan Hudson and of course Peter Shilton.

If I remember correctly didn't Cloughie sign Sean Haslegrave from Stoke City back in 1975 or 76? Wonder whatever happened to him?

It was one of my first as well when I was a kid, 1981 season I think, a young Lee Chapman was playing for them. It rained all day, their kop the boothen end sang about one song all game, I’m sure we won.

Stoke, Leicester, Coventry and Birmingham all seemed similar to me back then. But always got the feeling Birmingham could be a big club with honours.

Wow the arrogance, still remember their fans on a podcast last season saying they were going to 'Do a wolves.'
