This was always going to be a tough game, away at Villa, fourth in the league.
And we've made it almost impossible for ourselves by playing a player out of position when we have a perfectly good one sat on the bench.

Don't blame Nuno for the OOP left back although I'd have put Murillo out wide. Not sure Danilo was the right pick in a central midfield two in this one.

But can't really blame the manager when half the eleven look hungover. Players need to accept full responsibility if they repeatedly lose their men on the edge of our box. It's not a tactical fault today it's those individual mistakes again.

Despite the goal I think we need to make changes before the second half. Danilo off for Yates to add some steel. I would put Toff on for either of our centre backs and move Niakhate back to the middle.

If I was Villa I’d be so miffed at that late goal. 3-0, could have been more and it is a walk in the park 2nd half. It probably still will be but at 2 goals up and not taking full advantage of your advantage and thinking Forest can’t play as bad second half a bit of doubt can creep in. I want to see a big reaction and mentality shift straight away from the word go second half.

Half-time. My cat is still in his cardboard box, but he is keeping one eye on events.
