This hissy fits over Niakate are ridiculous. The whole teams played shit regardless of who’s playing left back. We’ve looked second to every ball, Villa look like they have an extra man. They all need a rocket at half time and a couple of subs especially in central midfield.
The whole defence has been poor but Niakhate has looked especially out of his depth at left back

No-one's having a hissy fit, I think people are just frustrated that Nuno continues to play him there when Toffs had such a good first half of the season

I’d drop MGW deeper and bring Reyna on. Take Danilo off.

Maybe put Williams LB and bring Montiel on at RB? Just feel Toffolo will get torn to bits by Bailey. Niakhate looks uncomfortable out on the left so can’t be much worse if Toff comes on instead though.

Agreed. Blaming this on Niakhate at LB is myopic. Hard to absolve anyone of blame so far

Meanwhile these are the stats from Evertons game which remains nil nil!

100% a 97th minute Ashley Young fluke goal wins it for them.

Everton seem to have given up as soon as they initially got themselves out of the relegation zone. They were on fire to recover the -10 points, but they've completely switched off since doing that.

Aston Villa are in the top four because they’re a good side, top four teams can batter teams like us if we’re not perfect so people need to calm down a bit.

We’ve been crap but even at our best Villa have the ability to turn us over.

This is the biggest issue today....most of the XI haven't turned up.
Dare I suggest that playing a CB out LB - when FB who's been good most of the season is on the bench - may have effected the players moral and mentality a bit too?

We've all been there in our local sides, you see a good player not played for some odd reason, and you just run round with a bit more lead in your boots and a bit less interest. Especially when that player proves poor early game.

A crumb of comfort for me as Sunlun are tossing it off at home 🙏.

Couldn’t stomach that lot getting into the Premier League 😕.

Absolute bollocks.

Burnley are down a man but 0-0 at half time. Brighton haven't put one past Everton yet. I don't think we should have expected to get something here today, except maybe a lucky point. If those two aforementioned games go our way, losing this one won't be a huge deal, goal difference excepted.
