I know he's from Peterborough, and I suppose North from there, there's not much by football clubs until you get to Nottingham.

I thought this too, not sure why else this club was be a dream to anyone unless you supported us once upon a time

...when 36-year-old former Manchester United and Barnsley goalkeeper Luke Steele was released by Championship side Nottingham Forest last summer, he decided to "scratch an itch" and become a non-league striker.

Playing for local sides Peterborough Northern Star Reserves and Jubilee FC, Steele scored 15 goals in eight games this season, but has now put his gloves back on to help Notts County try to gain promotion back to the Football League.

"In my last two games, we won 3-2 and I scored two hat-tricks," Steele told BBC Radio Nottingham.

I remember a discussion on here a long time ago that ended up in an argument over whether Luke Chambers would score goals in non-league. This just goes to show professional athletic, footballers, even those derided as terrible at their own position are miles ahead of the vast majority of people, regardless of position.
