There's a lot of ifs and maybes. Any new manager would be as limited as the transfer window and EM dictates them to be.

Indeed, but we're looking 2-3 years down the line so there's never going to be full confidence of what's going to happen. But a multi-million pound business can't not do forecasts. F.e Karanka isn't limited by an embargo at the moment but another round of spending like we did this summer would bring us close. If EM dictated we needed to avoid that then the spending tap is turned off. That's an if/maybe, but it will turn into reality, unless Karanka isn't given more money in January/summer, which may be an even worse outcome.

Can I reiterate I'm not saying this approach is necessarily wrong. Happy to let it play out, and I think we'll be a lot closer to goals of promotion than had we not done it. Just think in the event we aren't promoted and we want to make changes to the structure of the club then we won't be as flexible had we built a bit slower, not had a squad consisting pretty much only of Karanka signings and kept some dry powder back for signings.

I know what you're saying. I just don't agree that this is a one and done approach. There's so many variables. FFP is something we can speculate over but none of us truly have a clue.

What if AK does go, new bloke comes in and wants to change things.

We turn round and go, okay, do what you want. He sells Worrall, Cash, Carvalho, there's probably close to £30m there. Not advocating that happening, but then all of a sudden a whole new team can be built if so decided.

AK is being backed and backed very well. But just don't subscribe to the one and done line of thought.

Back on topic.

I've some knowledge in this area & can confirm S&K is still very much a player.

Beef in Ale remains the benchmark though.
With Beef & Stilton & Chicken & Mushroom starting to make some serious noise.

I was shocked in the main stand last night
You can get a pie
You can get a pint
But you can’t get both together

That’s first level fuckwittery right there

Here was me thinking you were on here to tout cheese pie. What the f*** is it anyway? More like a quiche?

A cheese pie is like a beef pie
But replace the beef with cheese and the gravy with melted cheese

He more or less hinted that the reason he left Forest was that he and Karanka viewed his job very differently...

I know that Nuno that I know that Nuno that I know
Didn’t McParland have a similar strop and pretty much doomed MW

I thought that was because they only bought fannies?
