Agreed Captain. But, I think the club are going 'all out' on the starting 11. Let's say the 100m is all spent - which I fully expect it to be. 80+ will be on starters.

Assume that Toffolo, O'Brien, Williams and Niakhate come good and we're lucky and get MGW... That'll be 80m+ easily spent... The remaining will be picking up good quality squad players. My such as the lad from France.

Another keeper (free transfer I would guess)
Another full back £5m/loan
Colback
Surridge
Grabban?!
Cook
Lolley / Cafu / A.n.other attacking midfielder

I agree with this to an extent, but I do also believe the amount of smoke around him doesn’t come without fire.

I also don’t think Marinakis is afraid of a splash and MGW is just that. Also Henderson wasn’t exactly hidden.

No idea, but he's someone I think the club should really be going after. Affordable and, again, time in the SPL will put off clubs with greater means. Him, O'Brien and MGW would finish off the midfield.

Let's be honest, we're desperately short up front still as well. What if Brennan or the lad from Nigeria is injured??..

Fair to say, if we are to survive, we'll need to ride our luck with injuries. The other thing to consider is, despite all this money and spending we may still go down. Having a team that'll bounce back is important

Yeah same, but I am kind of hoping that Toffolo is viewed as the cover with upside more than the starter. That they thought the value was too good to pass up on

I agree mate, he'll splash the cash! Unfortunately, in a league where the top 6 and a few others with mega bucks frequently trade players for £50m+ EM's money will get us nowhere fast!

The club's strategy of buying young players with a sell on value shouldn't change..

Who knows. There'll be plenty more additions coming in over the next month. I fully expect the Yates/McKenna/Cook/Johnson/Worrall 'core' from last year also have their places under serious threat..

Really hope we get this one over the line. Versatile player who gives his all. Possibly an upgrade on Garner, close call in my eyes, but also think he could play the Zinc role and be much better.

Seems to be a common theme though.

All players we are targeted seem to have clauses or contract situations. Seems like we have a long list of targets and are picking the ones that could be exploited. I think 10m is a great deal.
