Yes yes yes! This was one I was really hoping we’d go for. In today’s market he’s worth comfortably more than 10m and he’d fit perfectly into our system.
Runs all day, can pass, get stuck in and carry the ball. Was their captain too I believe.

I reckon we need three. Ojeda and Fornah need loans in the Championship IMO, and Cafu isn't going to be Premier League standard. That leaves us with only Yates and Colback.

I think this is the area where we’re not yet premier league ready and it’s been the quietest for rumours. Will be an interesting couple of weeks. Feels like we need to pick someone up that has actually played in the prem and can bring some savvy/experience to the team.

As others have said, maybe a loan. I'd be looking at someone from the top 6 with a fair bit of experience but not washed up...think we will definitely need that regardless of players like O'Brien coming in.

Yeah I feel like O’Brien is a good, but safe move at the position. We kind of know what we would get from him next year.
I feel like another prem loan and maybe someone like Mangala or similar from a cheaper top league would be perfect.

I don't think it was one or other... I would imagine it'll be O'Brien or the lad from Rangers. Forest will still be in for Gibbs-White or similar. Not sure who else might play that role though

Him in the middle with Yates would be great... Some serious engines between the two of them. Add a big splash of creativity and we're nearly there... my guess is, this guy is an alternative to AMN who will digging his heels in having to move to Forest. Until last year, he didn't know we existed.

Yeah it does feel like a Gibbs White no matter what situation. Until MGW signs a new contract or moves elsewhere, I’m concerned about anyone rumoured as an alternative

I still don't think we'll get him. The players we get are the ones that fall under the noses of the established 'also rans'. For example, with O'Brien. Leeds were after him - until Phillips is sold and they now have a whole lot more cash to spend. The hidden gems in the Championship and the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 etc are where we'll do our best business. The trouble is, MGW is a gem but not hidden. He's on the radar of the clubs, like Forest, just with more recent top flight pedigree.
There are plenty of quality players currently playing at championship level who can make the step up.

I'd say we'll bring in two choices for both flanks. I still think the club will be keen on AMN for his cover in two positions... I just don't think he'll be keen on Forest.

Things are beginning to shape up nicely.
That midfield though needs some serius beefing up, and there is then the issue of depth.
Who would be on a 9-strong bench?
Hennessey; Biacone; Cook; Cafu; Surridge; Mighten; Colback; Lolley; (Can't get the 9th at the moment)?
We still need 5 or 6 more (and, of course Toffolo, O'Brien, and Niakhate aren't ours yet).
It will be the lack of strength in depth that could be our undoing when ae get a couple of starting players injured/suspended - and it will happen that we lose a couple at times this season.
Still, as I said, things are starting to shape up nicely.
