Lansbury next?

As the caller said tonight, "the only time you would sell two highly rated players for a cut price would be if you were desperate for money" What is to stop him doing the same with Lansbury. Maybe this re naming of the ground deal fell apart and there is no cash at the moment. I just hope SPs loyalty doesn't get pushed too far.

WTF if this is true then we obviosuly need the money otherwise from a footballing sense its the worst piece of business I have ever seen in the context of things. Stuart Pearce will look like a liar and Fawaz has made his money back. He obviously isnt a billionaire or a willing backer by doing things like this

Jenas+Dawson+Reid = 15
Lansbury+Lascelles+Darlow= 10.2

I point you in the direction of the other thread, the amount of money spent each year heavely outweighs our "selling profit" 20m to start with. The stadium upgrades, the 17m in losses. The players we have sold doesn't even dent it.

If this actually happens, as is being alluded to, I will be shocked and appalled.

Darlow I could stomach, Lascelles was a catastrophic mistake. But to lose Lansbury as well, this close to the beginning of the season, is just awful.

4.2m represents cracking value in all fairness, particularly when you consider how often he is injured, but my word. What a start to the week.

Then paying Mackie 20k is irresponsible, signing Fryatt and Burke on big wages is even more irresponsible. In fact if selling players dosent dent it then we obviously have a wage problem we need to keep selling and selling.

So what's the solution? Selling players happens, we could be multibillionaires in this league and PL teams will still be able to buy our players cheap.

You can't sell three of your most valuable players unless you've plans to bring in that stellar striker signing. I think Milky Joe is right - Rhodes is on his way here.
Either him or Connor Wickham.

Clearly... LOLz.

I'll reserve judgement to see who comes in, and I truly hope we have at least one in before the weekend to dent this blow.

You're optimistic, hope you're right but my bet would be on a freebie like Billy Sharp or an uninspiring signing like Cameron Jerome!

If we lose Lansbury, Darlow and Lascelles but bring in a fit and hungry CM (unlike Henri who has only played 40% of games and has itchy feet), Adomah and a decent striker I would be happy. Darlow and Lascelles on loan. Surely everything is rosy again.

I would feel very uncomfortable paying a reported £3.5m for Adomah when we've sold these two today for about the same amount. They won't sell him to us anyway!

Burnley, Forest and Lansbury. Burnley ready to pay dough. May be discount for cash. Offer Lansbury double what he is on and Prem football...

Bring wages down below the revenue we generate. Selling dosent happen on this scale 3 of best young talents gone for a 10.2 mill is disgusting in my view.

What a terrible day. Why is Fawaz leaving it this late just before season start? Echos of Guedioura.
