Joseph Adrian Worrall (The Club Captain!)

One thing I'd say about Worrall is that he has improved every year and has improved different aspects of his game when working under different managers. To me that says he has a level of football intelligence that gives me confidence that he'll be able to make the step up. It may take time (hopefully not too long as I do think he has been caught out a little bit so far this season) and hopefully it doesn't cost us too many points whilst adjusting or affect his confidence. Seems a confident enough lad for that not to be an issue though.

He'll come good. Captain for years easy. I think he just needs to get a better understanding with Neco. I noticed during pre season they were getting in each others way a bit and you can see communication between them isn't perfect. However it's only been three games and the next two are the toughest we'll face for a while so this is where defenders grow closer, challenge. I suspect come the Bournemouth game we'll look far more dangerous in all areas of the pitch.

Not sure if it's already been mentioned but to lend a bit of sympathy to Worrall he's been up against ASM who tore Walker and Stones to bits yesterday, Benrahma who is a pretty tricky player and Anthony Gordon who is also evidently a very good dribbler. He does need to step it up and cut the mistakes out, the header against Everton the other day was really bad, but he's had two teams (arguably) best players against him in ASM and Gordon, proper baptism of fire.
I don't think it gets any easier today or Wednesday

Top performance. Him and McKenna stepped up.

The tactics left us open and he was a rock.
Agree with Worrall but on a couple of occasions McKenna kept Spurs onside as he just either switched off or couldn't physically keep up with the pace of the game.

I completely agree though that the system is really not set up for 3 lumbering centre halves. They're great when the spaces are tight and they can get in and man mark but we're going at sides so on the counter they look very isolated and to be honest I cack myself each time the opposition attack.

Mate you have to get over it. It happens every Premier League game, not just at Forest. People have to understand Premier League attackers make defenders look stupid. That's why you have numerous players who can have seasons where they score a goal every game & can finish seasons with 40+ goals.

You get that once every 10 years in the Championship.

Yeah McKenna wasn't his usually best, but he's been very good in the first 3 so he's due one. Aside from the calamitous defending for the 2nd which was Toffolo or Kouyate's fault, the defence as a whole was good against a world class front 3.

It all just seems so last ditch for me as I watch through my fingers that have been bitten down to stubs.

As I said I don't think the system helps them. We don't play with a proper defensive midfielder and we don't play with full backs really we're quite often left with 3 on 3 which at this level is going to get you killed.

We're absolutely crying out for at least one defender that has mobility and pace.

Spurs had no end of last ditch blocks also today in the first half. I too had the same opinion, but watch MOTD and you'll see City, Liverpool et al look like piss heads on the back foot.

We do need somebody quick there though to replace Niakhate.

Unfortunately the lad with mobility and pace is injured.

I’d be happy for Soh to be playing in the middle..
Mate. I don't know why people mock me for it, but Mbe Soh is better than Cook right now. The main thing Cook has over Soh is experience.

Quicker, more responsive. Stronger. Better passer.

I think we just need to show some belief in him because I really believe in him.
