Wonder what the plan will be for him now? He's fallen out of favour at Cov to some degree, but has 30 appearances this season. Word was that he has all the attributes but can switch off - young center half thing.
Wasn't there talk of rangers wanting him? A worral-esque season long would be good in terms of adjusting to the pressure. We'd have him for another year at the end of that. Suppose the alternatives are that we let him go or have him around the squad this year - he'd take up a place though I think so can't see it?

Wasn't he injured for a good while in Feb and March, just found it hard to break back into the matchday 11 of form team? Came off the bench in the playoff 1st leg and started the 2nd leg.
I think Cooper will want to look at him in pre-season.

Some may think that a roughly £1m profit on the player (if he's sold is peanuts), but you'll have to get used to this kind of peanuts. Your Premier status will allow for the sale of many fringe players with a profit and I fully expect that there will be more such players brought in in the hope that one or two will make it to the first team, a large number will be flops, and some will be sold with a profit.

I said on another thread that we have gathered quite a lot of players who we could lose tomorrow and we’d barely feel it. Mainly players who are mid to higher end champ players but question marks over prem ability.
We could quite easily pick up £20m from these kind of player sales.

This is a point I was making last season.
If you take a portfolio approach to acquiring players, you only need balance the books overall.
Let's say for demonstration purposes we acquire 10 players at £10m. You only need 1 player to triple in value to let 4 players go at 50% discount if the other 5 hold their value.
There were swveral players we bought last season who are resealable at a 30% loss that is easily accommodated by value gains in Johnson, MGW, Awoniyiy and Danilo.
