I don't think the affair is our business, but it is the way he has tried to keep the press silent over the matter.

Free press is important, in my opinion.

It's not just the affair that's the issue, it is what has surrounded it and what has gone on with this gagging order.

He is England and Chelsea captain and is a role model for millions of young lads who dream of being in the same position as him.

If he wants to shag around and gamble excessively, then that's his own business. But if he wants to stop people from finding out about it in order to protect himself from losing his position in football and from losing sponsorship deals then I think we have a right to be told.

If the thing about the abortion is true, then that's even worse. His bully-boy solicitor forced Bridge's missus into signing a confidentiality agreement as well.

Terry doesn't strike me - and never has - as a very nice guy.

What is it about footballers that makes them feel like they are immune to punishment or questions over things like this.

Well earning 100 grand a week must instill a bit of 'god mode syndrome' in people, not an excuse at all though, not for a second but of course the way they percieve life must be very different to you and I. Do they strike off any right to have just private and family matters though? Maybe. Sky sports has been good in not actually mentioning what happened.

Sky Sports are dealing with it well.

They're reporting the 'news' rather than the details. Probably the best thing for a TV channel with only one minute to report it at a time.

Papers can go into more details as it's difficult to 'summarise'.

Who can blame him? His missus looks like a dog.

Ideally he should be launched into the sun, but certainly certainly should be stripped of the England captaincy as he's proving he's a shocking ambassador off the pitch.

As much as the Daily Mail & other newspapers try to make out that Terry's behaviour has annoyed other members of the England squad, they have yet to offer any proof of this.

I find that in these sorts of situations that other people try their damnedest not to get involved even if it's in their best interest to do so.

My prediction is that Terry will be on the plane to S.A. while squad member Bridge will elect to miss out.

That said, it doesn't surprise me that Terry has shown himself to be a contemptable scumbag yet again.

The unfortunate thing about all of this is that Terry is the perfect captain for England on the pitch and our national side would be severely weakened by not having him. I certainly don't believe Ferdinand to be anywhere near up to the job due to his frequent lapses in concentration.
