The club is being so smartly run right now.

They probably said to Jesse, prove yourself this season, you'll get another contract and more money. You'll be playing under one of the best man managers who will look after you. You'll also have the chance of playing regularly at an ambitious club, being the main man to showcase your talents, and have an opportunity of making the World Cup.
