Lingard is shit.
Didn't cost us 25mil with potential to get to 40mil eitherHe gave it away no question.
But we’ve conceded 21 and they all play in the same game. Kouyate doesn’t get the same grief for hauling down whoever for Maddison to stick in in from the free kick.
He’s certainly not playing well but he’s by no means as bad as people like to make out. Far too reactionary.
Reactionary, he's been poor from the start of the season? He gave it away no question.

Thing is I see more in Morgan than Lingard in terms of their ability to change a game. The fact at the moment they're playing similar roles in the same team can't help. We need to play just one and it has to be MGW.Didn't cost us 25mil with potential to get to 40mil either
I've saud before bit he was a free transfer but his profile makes people act like he's a bank breaker like carvalho.
His wages are a tiny percentage of the money we got for promotion, MGW was our number one must have record transfer. Yet the way the two are discussed you'd think one had actually performed much better than the other despite both looking below what's needed
I'd love to know if they're both lazy or if they're being told not to get back defensively, Johnson too for that matter. If it was one of them then fine, but all three aren't doing it and all three continue to start, so might be managers decision
I’m neutral on him but he’s been average from the start, not poor, with a few decent patches and a few errors. In terms of the league you’re right, but in terms of Forest, I’d say not.Reactionary, he's been poor from the start of the season?

It's one of the reasons why the best sides are yet another level apart. Forward players who haven't got a desire to work their arses off for the team and do the defensive side as well as attacking don't get play in teams like city and Liverpool.Didn't cost us 25mil with potential to get to 40mil either

If you are rating him against the rest of the team, yes it's a very low bar. He's one of the players who've come in with an expectancy though, the team needs some inspiration and he should be one doing his upmost to provide it.I’m neutral on him but he’s been average from the start, not poor, with a few decent patches and a few errors. I don’t doubt he’s trying hard as Cooper keeps picking him but like the entire team, nothing is clicking yet. He’s no different to anyone else really and it just seems harsh to bash him like Talksport when it’s plain to see it’s not just him.If you are rating him against the rest of the team, yes it's a very low bar. As what, a b-side?Can't we just release him?
MGW has created numerous chances and has looked far, far better with the ball. Actually one of few players so far who looks up to this level.Didn't cost us 25mil with potential to get to 40mil either

He was good pals with Pogba, right?I had high expectations for Lingard. I wasn’t perturbed by his social media antics and profile but wondered then if he’d live up to the hype.
I don’t doubt he has the ability.
We’ve yet to see it on the pitch.
Yes, totally. His chance at the end of the first half summed up his time here for me so far:
ooh great ball - he has talent... nice movement and a real desire to have it back... acres of room here... why's he taken that touch? and why didn't he get it under when he did? and when he let the chance pass, why did he still take a hopeful swing?
Looks a broken confidence player to me currently.
