Jayden Richardson

I don't think he's playing at RB though. He's hardly had a chance in his favoured position.

From what I saw of the brief highlights, he appeared to be playing left-wing back?

Which, I guess at least answers the question of 'Can he play left-back?'

Get's a start at RWB tonight, with Williams on the bench.

Hopefully gets an extended look at RWB as opposed to on the left.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Williams get bought by a Champ club on deadline day tbh, which would be fantastic for Jayden.

He's impressed their fans thus far, just been unlucky that Williams is their best player.

Supposedly Richardson was changed to RWB last game after starting LWB and was their best player (most attacking threats came through him) when he was moved to his natural position. So that looks like a reward for his performance.

Would happily see Jenkinson and Darikwa go in the summer. Richardson can't be any worse.

He's had very little game time all season at Exeter and virtually none playing RB. He's had a disappointing loan and hard to make plans to use him next season on the back of it.

I love how people instantly think Richardson is a better option as he's scored a goal. He's barely featured for a LEAGUE 2 side. Jenko and Bong have had prolonged careers at championship level and spells above. Yes Jenkinson and Bong were poor last night, but they've had little to no football all season. SL really made a mistake throwing them all in in 1 go last night.

I've seen enough of Jayden to think he'd be fine as understudy to Cash.

The club's loaning policy has been more than vindicated with the success of Worrall and Cash. Walker is tbc but he's looking like he might make the step up too.

Putting children in the first team helps nobody, least of all the player.

I'd be amazed if he was much worse than Darikwa, and Jenkinson will probably spend most of his Forest contract injured so we may as well count him out of the equation.

Obviously if Cash gets sold in the summer we'll need to sign a proper replacement, but Richardson as understudy to Cash (or his replacement) makes sense to me.

Ah yes, from being a back up at Exeter to a back up at Forest. Hmmm, not sure he's good enough (yet) to be our back up if Exeter don't use him.

Exeter's best player is their right wing back so he's just been unlucky.

They rate him everytime he's played.

He's getting decent reports from Exeter, and before you go "it's Exeter" - Ollie Watkins went straight from there to Brentford and is now worth about £20m.

21 appearances for Exeter so far this season, which isn't a bad return for a young loanee. Hopefully he will get to experience a promotion in his time there too.

Another good recruitment decision to loan this kid out. Jenks is a far better option  2m well spent.

It's a great one. He's getting game time and developing rather than sitting on a bench. Much in the same way Worrall massively progressed by going out on loan and playing every week, and came back a far better player. Or are you saying he should be in the starting XI ahead of Matty Cash?

You'd be dreadful at recruitment, Alf. We'd just spend millions on terrible players from Posh, whilst keeping our young players from actually playing.

And yet I'm still better than our recruitment team.

Quite flattered you even consider my suggestions as even in those realms. Daft freebie talk on a net forum compared to pro recruiters

Think I'll campaign to get them sacked now.

Just went on Exeter forum and their fans seem to all be saying he's shit. Hope being continuously playig out of position isn't setting hi back.Looked a real prospect at RB for us.

Joe Worral should have been playing for Forest last year instead of the myriad of players brought in at cost for replace him. Bad decisions cost a lot in football.. Richardson on the bench for Cash this year would have saved the club £2 mill and (£30-£40,000 a week). Might have been worth the risk, given Jenks performances it woul dhave been..
