I take your point HH.
However young players can be inconsistent and more liable to react to environments that don’t suit them.
I presume that Man Utd see something in him and are looking for the right circumstances in which he can thrive.
Perhaps they feel that Chris Hughton is the man to provide that.

Opinions from other fans can be considered but it’s more about if a player fills a gap and develops our team. If he offers something we are lacking that wud be great for us and then gets the other cogs working as well. Time will tell. I’d expect players coming in will have experience of our leagues not the randoms we are used to.

It’s all relative. Watford have a better squad than us and they’ve just been relegated to this league. Obviously they’re going to view the vast majority of their players as shit, but a fair few of their shit players would walk into our first XI.

Building on that point... Our academy should, of course, be a source of pride for any Forest supporter but this lad will probably be at Manchester United for a reason, wouldn't be an awful thing to build a partnership there and show them that sending some of their best kids to Forest is a good thing.

Should be a decent signing. However, we can’t get all the loanees in to a match day squad. So, can we send some packing?

At the point we’re at, just want to get to the end of the season with enough points on the board to stay out of league 1.

Then can we please have a proper strategy and identity to work with?

I've heard really good things about this guy.

Deep-lying playmaker who can spot a pass and shoot from long range too.

I'm also told that he is very calm and assured on the ball. Not panicking in possession.

Exactly what we need in that central midfield area.

Looks about 12.

Someone I don't know an awful lot about, and the conveyor belt in ManU isn't what it was, and even when it was we picked up a donkey on loan.

From what i can see he was initially a centre back but switched into midfield - probably because he's a midget - so not going to be playing at the attacking side.

Perhaps adds fuel to the possibility that Arter and/or Sow are going, with Yates also out for a few weeks, and with Colback not, err, back yet, and is also shit, we're suddenly a bit short in the position we have loads of players in.

It seems United fans liken him a lot to Carrick, which could be a useful addition.

From what I've read, he was a regular for Watford up until their change of manager. As he was at one point a first team regular for a top 6 side, I'll assume that he is better than what we have until he proves otherwise.

Well, it isn't that big, maybe average in terms of general population but too small to be a centre back really in the modern game, when you look at the size of some of them out there.

Lack of height is one of the reasons why we aren't really productive either attacking or defending set pieces, we have 2 players who are probably classed as tall (Worrall and Yates), 1 (McKenna) who isn't much far behind, and then it's probably Taylor. Despite his height the aerial game hasn't really been much of Ameobi's game so I've not counted him.

He's probably taller than the rest of our midfielders (except Sow) who (height-wise) look like a bunch of year 8s who got the chance to play with adults...

Glossing over the year 8 analogy.. he is above average height for the worlds population of males (5"9) that includes all of the massive bastards in Denmark. I would say he was more than tall enough to play in that role for a 2nd tier side.
