I'd suggest that Michael Anagnostou will look to replace him with someone who already has experience of coaching at that level. The next step-up is the first-team, so there's no room for a purely sentimental appointment.

No, we got him from Grimsby. He went to Chesterfield later in his career after his second stint with us. He did spend 6yrs there though, 83 goals in 197 apps.
He'll do well there. I think he's someone who knows how to win and what it takes. Hopefully we'll do them some favours in Jan.

Nope, he only played for Chesterfield after he left Forest.
We got him from Grimsby - Platt got hooked on him after the Lester had helped them to batter us in the league cup.
gareth holmes has done well at u-18 level , he deserves the promotion.

He's only been a head age-group coach for a relatively short while and should be allowed to carry on the job he's doing. It's a big step-up to the U-23s, and Lester had been in charge of the U-18s for some time before moving up with the same group of players.

I'm not surprised he's going back, they retired the number 14 shirt for him and everything. A club legend for them.
I used to enjoy watching his close control when he played for us, always seemed to wriggle himself out of a tight spot with skill.
