"Clearly something is going wrong. If you look at the law of the big numbers, something in the last ten years is going wrong. It’s clearly incompetence but it’s unconscious incompetence. The only way you can improve is if it’s conscious incompetence, so you’re aware of it.

I do indeed realise that as I read the article before posting it. It is about injuries. How a clubs training methods were to blame and not the outside world as Poisioned Dwarf would have you all believe

A repeating pattern over ten years isn't just chance. That same pattern over a season might be.

In the summer the players had to go through S.H.I.T. (Super High Intensity Training) to get fit, so after a few games they ran out of steam and were F.U.K.D. (Firmly Under Knee Damage) or C.R.O.K.D. (Cruciate Really Out, Knees Doubtful)

Wenger should have known better than to let Billy run Arsenal from behind the scenes for 10 years.

I recently suffered from a crippling case of sacroiliac joint dysfunction due to over training of glutes, hamstrings, quads and abs. The injury didn't occur while training when I did a stupid number of deadlifts, squats and crunches, but during a casual game of badminton a couple of days later.

Until I felt a crunch in my groin and literally crawled off the badminton court on my hands and knees, I felt nothing and was moving freely, or so I thought.

An injury picked up by a footballer during a match doesn't necessarily mean that the training methods aren't at fault.

Can we all not talk about Billy Davies now, and focus on the new era? Comparisons to him during the Pearce time will only underline what fans think about us already, that we're living in the past.

To be fair (he who shall no longer be named) did spend some time at Arsenal with Wenger analysing his intensive training methods before he joined Nottingham Forest the 1st time around. I'm very sure I recall him saying as much in his 1st stint here, he was talking about all of the time he spent getting up to speed on the 'latest training' methods and watching american soccer as well and seeing their training methods as well. I don't have a source for this but I'm positive I read it or watched him saying all of this.

The point is that article could be very relevant to Nottingham Forest and what could have happened re: our footballing biscuits for the season 2013/14.

Is that at Arsenal or Forest?

No not really, my point was that it was possible that (he who should not be named) was potentially an admirer of Arsene Wenger and his training methods and he may well have applied those very same intensive training methods he learned about from Wenger to our squad as he might have believed they were good enough for Arsenal they were good enough for Forest?

I know mate, just me being silly. Totally agree with your point and dare say that many who blame the injuries on Billy would turn around in the next breath and call for Wenger here without giving a second thought to this, much like some called for Malky here despite him having a lot of similarities to Billy.

Seen a few of the players out Sunday. Had a little chat with Cohen (good pals now) and he said he'll be back for pre-season.

20 20 hindsight says we should have kept the poison dwarf, family and friends on. We'll feel a bit daft when he takes and keeps another club to the promised land. He gave us a chance and we blew it.
