Simon Cox scored 29 goals in a season in League One. Just saying.
Simon Cox isn't as bad as people make out, he is devoid of confidence however, which happened to pretty much every striker under Billy Davies, because he makes his strikers play in a way which is not conducive to them scoring goals.
Troy Deeney only scored 27 in 127 for Walsall at that level too.
It's easy to be blinded by goal scoring stats, but what's most important is the style of the player, and the system your team will play. Hopefully Pearce has a style of play already in mind, and can identify a striker or two that will suit that style, rather than just looking for someone who has a good record of scoring.
